POSITION SUMMARY:
Provide excellent patient and customer service in the selection, ordering and dispensing of eyewear. Complete pre-screening activities prior to patient exams. Prepare work orders for Optical Lab. Process medical billing information. Maintain frame inventory.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
CUSTOMER SERVICE
· Provide excellent customer and patient service according to company and Optical Center standards
· Analyze patient eyewear needs
· Recommend specific lenses, lens coatings and frames to satisfy patient needs
· Assist patients in selecting frames according to style and color. Ensure frames are coordinated with facial and eye measurements and optical prescriptions
· Order and dispense eyewear accurately and professionally
· Assist patients with proper frame repairs and adjustments

BUSINESS AND OPERATIONAL STANDARDS
· Maintain a complete knowledge of third-party plans and claims

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:
· High School Graduate or equivalent

· To become Certified, teammate must complete Shopko OCE Certification requirements and calendar modules
· Previous experience in an office and/or optical dispensing is preferred

Location: Employee Housing is located at the Hibernation House, 3812 Big Mountain Road. which is directly across from the HR Department. The office of the Housing Coordinator and most duties performed will be within the Hibernation House.
General Duties: Manages all aspects of WSI employee housing program, including tracking availability, managing leases, inspections, service requests. Enforcing the housing rules and policies. Assists Human Resources team with recruitment and selection, ADP onboarding, I-9's and other HR administrative support. The Housing Coordinator will perform light housekeeping duties to keep the lobby area neat and tidy. They will oversee the cooking area to ensure the employees using the kitchen keep the area clean at all times. They will make sure only the employees on the housing agreement are staying and using the facility. The Housing Coordinator will be working very closely with our international students from many different cultures. SCOPE OF POSITION:

When the Store Manager is not on site, the Store Supervisor will be responsible for all daily activities in the store.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Personnel
The Store Supervisor (herein after denoted as SS) will be responsible to train and supervise all employees, volunteers and auxiliary staff working in the thrift store. Handling of personnel matters and documentation required.
The SS will provide specific written input with reference to annual evaluations of employees and evaluation of trainees as needed from referring agencies.
The SS will provide regularly scheduled staff meeting with all store personnel to communicate to them the goals of the organization and recommendations for improving operations. These employees will be given an opportunity for input with ideas and concerns that they have regarding the operations.
The SS shall ensure that all staff and volunteers will be thoroughly orientated in safety and accident policy and procedures as out lined in The Salvation Army Employee Handbook.
General Responsibilities
The SS will provide quarterly documentation to support the pricing of merchandise using other thrift stores in the community as a comparison. Prices in the thrift store will be adjusted to effectively remain viable in the area marketplace.
The SS will be responsible for the handling of the store sales income on a daily basis to include uniform procedures for: all types of cash, charge, check and voucher transactions; daily sales report documentation, bank deposits and cash/check donations.
The SS must be cross-trained in all store positions and able to cover any open shifts to ensure full coverage. The SS must also assist in any given position during busy periods or periods of high volume (ex. cashiering, stocking, etc.)
The SS will be responsible for the opening and closing procedures for the store
The SS will delegate the arrangement for seasonal shopping and merchandise availability on continuing bases. Clothing racks and other stock fixtures are to be kept full of current merchandise at all times.
The SS will ensure the frequent changing and upgrading of all store displays ensuring that all floor stock is attractively organized and frequently rearranged so as to cultivate customer interest.
All clothing will have dated & color-coded tagging and will remain on the sales floor at full and markdown prices for specific periods. Clothing will be ragged out in a timely manner in general accordance with standard Salvation Army Thrift Store practices.
The SS is authorized to reduce prices on any DONATED item that has been on the floor for the designated minimum period. Reupholstered and/or reconditioned items should not be lowered without the management team's approval. Items which are normally baled such as clothing and linens will be marked down to a pre-agreed upon percentage and frequency with the Store Manager. New mattress sets and furniture are not to be marked down without written approval.
Any other tasks/responsibilities necessary for the successful operation of the Thrift Store, Production area, and Fleet management.
Maintenance/Custodial
The SS will ensure proper safety, cleanliness, care and maintenance of the retail sales floor, production area, building in general, vehicles, and all restrooms.
The SS will ensure that monthly safety inspections are conducted in accordance with Salvation Army Policy immediately notifying the BCM of any deficiencies and corrective action taken.
Order any supplies needed to perform daily operations.
Customer/Community Relations
The SS is responsible to ensure that store clerks positively acknowledge and treat all customers in a courteous manner.
The SS is responsible to ensure that all staff/workers are treated with the same respect and fairness while working in the store.
Customer complaints will be handled in a professional manner by all staff. The SS should personally handle complaints with regard to the sales floor and immediately notify the Manager of the facts surrounding the complaint and the disposition thereof.
Must be available to attend all regularly scheduled and mandatory staff meetings regardless of whether they are outside a scheduled shift or standard work day.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

SCOPE OF POSITION:
