Kimball Health Services began operation on August 21, 1950, at a cost of $223,000, financed with the bond issue, Hill-Burton funds and philanthropic resources.

Kimball Health Services Clinic opened its doors in September of 1996.
In March of 2000, the citizens of Kimball voted on a bond issue for $2,330,000.
In 2002, as part of a remodeling project, the clinic moved to its current location on the Kimball Health Services hospital campus.
With a need for additional space and an eye on the future, Kimball Health Services purchased the Kimball Public Schools West Elementary building and accompanying block of property in September 2013.
In 2017, a second rural health clinic was added in Pine Bluffs, Wyoming.
