Key Responsibilities:
Assessment and Evaluation:
Conduct initial patient evaluations to assess their physical abilities, range of motion, strength, coordination, and overall mobility.
Review medical history and diagnostic tests (e.g., X-rays, MRIs) to understand the patient's condition.
Establish baseline data regarding a patient's physical capabilities to create a tailored treatment plan.
Developing Treatment Plans:
Develop personalized treatment plans based on the patient's condition, goals, and progress.
Identify short- and long-term rehabilitation goals, focusing on improving strength, flexibility, coordination, and endurance.
Collaborate with other healthcare providers to develop a comprehensive treatment approach, including recommendations for surgery or medication, if necessary.
Providing Therapeutic Interventions:
Implement various physical therapy interventions, such as strengthening exercises, range of motion exercises, balance training, manual therapy, and modalities (e.g., heat, cold, ultrasound, electrical stimulation).
Educate patients about proper posture, movement techniques, and body mechanics to prevent future injury.
Provide guidance and support to patients performing exercises both in the clinic and at home to ensure they are doing them correctly.
Patient Education and Support:
Educate patients on the importance of following their prescribed physical therapy regimen and explain how therapy will aid in recovery.
Teach patients strategies to manage pain and promote physical wellness through techniques like stretching, strengthening exercises, and ergonomic modifications.
Offer guidance on lifestyle changes that may improve function, such as weight management, stress reduction, or joint protection techniques.
Collaboration and Communication:
Work with other healthcare professionals, such as doctors, nurses, and occupational therapists, to coordinate care for patients.
Provide regular updates to the interdisciplinary team on patient progress and changes in treatment plans.
Communicate with patients and families, providing education and support throughout the treatment process.
Monitoring and Reassessing Progress:
Regularly assess the patient's progress and adjust the treatment plan as necessary to ensure optimal results.
Document the effectiveness of therapies and make recommendations for changes based on patient feedback and observed improvements or setbacks.
Perform re-evaluations to track progress, modify goals, and ensure that treatment is advancing in the right direction.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, documenting evaluations, treatments, progress, and changes in the patient's condition.
Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations (e.g., HIPAA) and insurance requirements.
Complete required documentation for insurance billing, progress reports, and discharge summaries.
Prevention and Wellness:
Develop and implement injury prevention programs to help patients reduce the risk of future injuries.
Promote physical wellness and functional independence through health education and the development of long-term fitness goals.
Encourage patients to adopt a more active lifestyle and engage in exercises that will improve their long-term health outcomes.
Advocacy and Community Resources:
Advocate for patients to ensure they receive the necessary equipment and assistive devices (e.g., wheelchairs, prosthetics, walkers).

The Patient Reimbursement Associate verifies insurance benefits for new patient referrals and re-verifies existing patient benefits as indicated by policy. Key Responsibilities
* Manage work queue to department standards for productivity and quality.

Minimum Requirement

Education

* Must demonstrate an understanding of reimbursement practices including government program regulation and managed care contracting
* Experience working in, and managing changing priorities, in a high volume, fast-paced work environment.
* Excellent personal computing skills and a working knowledge of MS Office software

Kelsey-Seybold dermatologists see a wide range of patients including adult and pediatric. They diagnose, treat, and manage all types of medical dermatology conditions including (but not limited to) acne, eczema, psoriasis, bullous diseases, and skin cancers.
The Kelsey-Seybold Dermatology team is growing. Currently, 19 providers see patients at 11 Kelsey-Seybold locations in the greater Houston area. Of the 19 providers, two are dermatopathologists and one is a Mohs surgeon.
Kelsey-Seybold dermatologists offer many additional services for patients including phototherapy (nb UVB, PUVA, excimer), extended patch testing, and select cosmetic services. Kelsey-Seybold dermatologists collaborate extensively with other Kelsey specialists including General Surgery, ENT, Plastic Surgery, Hematology/Oncology, Rheumatology, Infectious Disease, and Radiation Oncology.
Kelsey-Seybold dermatologists are invited to participate in a monthly tumor board as well as journal club that meets quarterly.

Physician Pathways Program participants are assigned to a mentor who will provide advice and guidance throughout the duration of the program. Participants are expected to spend 1-3 hours per month on Physician Pathways Program activities that will help them learn how to operate and thrive as a full-time physician within Kelsey-Seybold.
**Position Highlights:**
+ This is a temporary role intended for physician residents/fellows, interested in pursuing a full-time role with our group following completion of residency or fellowship.

We are seeking qualified candidates for the role of Ultrasound Technologist at varying levels (I, II, III). The selected candidate will be placed at the appropriate level based on qualifications and experience. All levels contribute to patient care under the supervision of licensed medical professionals, with increasing responsibilities at higher levels.
Primary Responsibilities:
Ultrasound Technologist I:
* Upon the order of a qualified provider, the Ultrasound Technologist utilizes equipment that employs high frequency sound waves for diagnostic purposes according to policies, procedures, and protocols of the KSC Radiology Department and Kelsey-Seybold Clinic
* Imaging services vary by location, therefore, performance of sonohysterography and/or vascular ultrasound may be required dep ending on assigned site
* The Ultrasound Technologist will utilize the designated Radiology Information System (RIS) to complete clerical processes and the designated Patient Archiving System (PACS)
* May be assigned to other duties, technical or non-technical if training, experience and credentials are deemed adequate by supervisor to perform those duties
Ultrasound Technologist II:
* Includes all duties of Ultrasound Technologist I
* Requires additional experience and/or certification
Ultrasound Technologist III:
* Includes all duties of Ultrasound Technologist I and II

* PACS and RIS experience
For Ultrasound Technologist III:
* Healthcare related degree
