Specific responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to: Assist attorney(s) in complex state and federal cases from initial pleadings through trial; Perform initial case assessments to determine further document discovery to facilitate initial investigation of claim; Draft pleadings, scheduling orders, and motions for state and federal court; Draft discovery requests and responses to include the preparation of voluminous records for production and drafting of privilege logs; Interpret and summarize medical records and bills; Prepare subpoenas for records; Effectively communicate with experts, insurance adjusters, witnesses, clients, and opposing counsel; Schedule meetings, depositions, and mediations; Assist with jury selection and witness preparation for trial; Meet a billing requirement of 140 hours per month: and Assist with preparation of trial notebooks and exhibits.
