WHAT YOU'LL DO:
We're looking for 2nd shift Logistics Coordinators to join our team in the new year, January 2026! The 2nd shift Logistics Coordinator provides strategic support to our operations and sales team. This is a salaried, full time position with hours 1600 - 2359, Monday through Friday. You will be responsible for monitoring pickups, deliveries, ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining accurate documentation of all freight moving in our transportation management system. The core functions involve problem solving, communicating with customers and carriers, and tracking the loads that are booked until the order has been unloaded at the final destination.

Job Purpose
The Research and Development (R&D) Resource Planning Specialist - Direct Cost role engages Resource Strategy ORG, Development Team leadership and Management to establish direct cost forecast by project for Auto Development Center/North American (ADC/NA) Auto R&D
Key Accountabilities
Direct cost process owner: Define/improve the standard direct cost process and schedule. Train and support others to execute it consistently well. Engage Resource Strategy ORG, Development Team leadership and Management to conduct the activity for each budget event. Organize gap & process Plan-Do-Check-Action (PDCA).
Model Window: Engage Development Planning ORG and Development Project Managers (PM) to clarify model contents. Establish the long-term, resource plan for Development projects. Request For Quote (RFQ) Process owner: Collaborate with Global Operations to manage the Request for Quotation (RFQ) process, schedule, database. Train and support others to follow the process well. Engage Division/Department Management to conduct the activity as needed. Confirm documents are properly completed and maintain the official results in the designated locations. Support process PDCA as needed.
Information Management: Manage resource information in company systems and ad-hoc tools. Analyse plan vs actual on a regular basis. Conduct ad hoc analysis as needed. Prepare reports to be delivered to Executives. Identify gaps reasons and engage management on gap PDCA.
Qualifications/Experience/Skills
Minimum Educational Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in business, finance, other related field, or equivalent related work experience
Minimum Experience: 0-4 years of relevant experience, based on education
Other Job-Specific Skills:
High proficiency with MS PowerPoint and Excel (Datatables, formulas, Pivot table, xlookup functions)

The Logistics Specialist role is responsible for managing the flow of goods from suppliers to the WPI factory, back out to value-add suppliers, and ultimately then on to end customers. This is accomplished by coordinating transportation, tracking shipments, understanding inventory positions, being connected to manufacturing output, analyzing logistics data, developing strategic relationships with carriers, and collaborating with all stakeholders to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery while adhering to applicable regulations. The goal is to optimize supply chain efficiency and manage all costs associated with transportation.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, manage and evaluate logistics operations liaising with internal stakeholders, suppliers, logistics providers, transportation companies and customers
Develop forecasting plans to ensure sufficient capacity at carriers
Establish priorities, track shipments real-time, and ensure availability of capable providers
Keep records of all shipments (Packing Lists, BOLs, receipt confirmations)
Maintain shipping schedules and hit deadlines for rush shipments
Monitor and report on supply chain performance metrics, such as on-time delivery, actual spend vs target, and cost savings
Create and implement best practice logistics principles, policies and processes across the organization to improve operational and financial performance
Drive creation of packaging requirements and lead the sourcing of these materials
Negotiate rates and contracts with transportation and logistics providers
Select carriers/suppliers and monitor service against performance criteria
Ensure carrier compliance with company policies or procedures for product transit or delivery
Resolve problems concerning transportation, logistics systems, and customer issues
Review impact of logistics changes, such as routing, shipping modes, product volumes or carriers and report results to others
Drive continuous improvement initiatives and identify cost optimization opportunities
Interpret trends and analyze and review data. Provide meaningful logistics data to others in the organization to aid customer service and cost improvements
Ensure IT systems in place are effective, maintained and accurate
Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and stay updated on industry standards

On site in Salt Lake City, UT. Day shift, 40 hours per week.
Basic Requirements
At least 3 years' proven work experience as a Logistics Manager
Attention to detail and able to support multiple complex deployment projects simultaneously
Good understanding of supply chain processes and their interdependencies
Strong IT systems knowledge, including advanced Excel skills
Knowledge and experience of using ERP/MRP systems
Proficient in standard logistics software
Ability to work autonomously and exercises discretion and independent judgement
Project management skills
Commercial and financial acumen with a full understanding of the impact of failure in terms of business cost, production schedules and customer order fulfilment
Preferred Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or Operations Management
Expert knowledge of technical regulations related to logistics such as import/export and customs regulations, including security requirements and dangerous goods handling
APICS CLTD certification
Knowledge of lean techniques would be advantageous
