Key Responsibilities:
Job Onboarding: Lead the introduction of new products or jobs into production, ensuring readiness and alignment with plant capabilities.

Quality Oversight: Maintain lab/testing equipment and calibrations; initiate raw material complaints (SNAR), track corrective actions, and manage quality holds.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field (or equivalent experience); 2- or 4-year degree or 2-4 years of related experience/training acceptable.
Experience in manufacturing environments, preferably in labels or similar industries.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Math skills (including Algebra) and knowledge of printing/converting materials and technologies.
Excellent communication and training skills; ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Ability to travel for internal and customer visits and trials.
Other Considerations:
Occasional lifting of rolls/samples up to 40-45 lbs.
Work around coating and slitting equipment; safety shoes may be required.

WHAT YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE
The Quality Technician position at FLUIDRA will be responsible (under limited supervision) for maintaining quality standards by reviewing, analyzing and disposition of incoming and in-process materials resulting from customer returned products (RMA Analysis) and/or internally rejected materials (MRB) from any area within the Supply Chain process (Receiving, manufacturing, warehouse / handling and inspection areas), recording any quality results and maintaining quality records per company policy. The QC Inspector shall be experienced in writing NCMR's (non-conforming material reports through Oracle preferably) and documenting Corrective Actions Reports for Quality Engineers as well as utilizing emails to communicate these rejections/CARs to buyers and Supplier's when needed.
This person will interact with material handlers on a day-to-day basis as well as with Receiving, Production Planning/Scheduling and Inventory Control teams to assure accurate and efficient processing/movement of non-conforming materials both physically and in the ERP system which will include acceptance and disposition into the appropriate sub-inventory location of products mainly via the FLUIDRA MRB Meetings. At the same time, this person will ensure both the RMA and MRB areas are appropriately organized and cleaned including accuracy of product as per Oracle inventory requirements.
This person will also support the Receiving Inspection area/process with material handling support to QC Inspectors when needed as well as visual inspections when materials require either sample or 100% inspections. Other duties or changes may apply depending on company/business needs. Additionally, you will:
Responsible for routinely conducting departmental Quality and/or Safety Audits
Perform inspections for compliance with specifications using blueprints, drawings, inspection procedures, and prior knowledge of fabrication methods to evaluate if deficiencies are present in systems, structures, assemblies, or parts.
Conduct in-process and final inspections at various checkpoints during maintenance activities. This includes installations or repairs of removed, disassembled, repaired, and assembled equipment; installation of structures, systems, and associated components; equipment to eliminate work hold-ups and rework; and to ensure conformance to specified requirements.
Interpret inspection acceptance/rejection criteria to identify discrepancies and non-conformances. Assemble pertinent information and materials necessary to effectively accomplish planning, scheduling, inspections, and reporting of inspection results. Interpretation and judgment of the acceptance/rejection of an item is based on a review of the work against the written requirements. Judgment and interpretation is based on training and experience.
Conduct training of lower level and same level inspection personnel by demonstrating the proper techniques for performing Quality Control inspection, interpreting inspection results, documenting inspection results, documenting non-conformances, and reviewing and closing out of completed work order tasks and associated inspection documentation.
Evaluate the adequacy of specific programs used to train and test inspection, examination, and testing personnel.
Develop, write, review, and approve inspection, examination, and testing procedures and evaluate the adequacy of such procedures to accomplish the inspection, examination, and test objectives.
Conduct surveillances, observations and submit reports and recommendations. Analyze data from surveillances and observations of work activities and documentation to identify problems. Summarize data and major points and submit reports to management for review and action. Maintain files, charts, and status reports on progress of inspections and documentation.
Assist in developing new procedural controls to address the quality control aspects of the Quality Management System (QMS)
Perform independent oversight of S.R. Smith programs and processes through use of performance-based techniques. Responsible for written and verbal reporting of the conclusions of the assessments under the cognizance of a lead auditor.
Routinely monitor plant and industry information to remain cognizant of assigned technical areas, and interface with line personnel, industry contacts, and regulatory agencies.

What does it take to be successful in this role?
S. Diploma or GED
Knowledge of Allen Bradley equipment and software preferred.
Use a laptop to connect to PLC's and drives to troubleshoot and make repairs.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Willing to get your hands dirty
Some travel may be required

Scale CalibrationService Techs Level I work mostly on their own in the field to calibrate and / or repair customer's industrial scales. Candidates must have strong computer skills, be in good physical condition, enjoy solving technical problems and being part of a team. Upon completion of calibration, the service tech enters data into calibration software and creates a Certificate of Calibration for the customer. They work some overtime and weekend hours.

Maintenance, calibration and / or repair of Industrial Scales
Respond to Call Service (Emergency) to fix and repair Customer's Scales - calls could be during or after working hours. Must be willing to work some overtime and weekend hours - may also include some overnight travel.
Consistently maintain good work attendance and productive work ethic.
Minimum Requirements / Qualifications:
Strong mechanical, electronic and / or technical background in industrial environment
Valid driver's license and clean driving history required
Class B CDL license a plus
