Job Responsibilities
Sets up, starts and runs all machinery
Weighs ingredients to meet recipe specification and inserts into machinery, or ensures the correct ingredients are delivered to the work area and inserts pre-blended materials into machinery
Monitors production and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation. Troubleshoots equipment and processing issues
Operates machinery to mix, extrude/discharge or handle materials
May take samples of materials to lab for evaluation and instructions on any batch adjustments if needed
Performs all required machine cleaning
Documents work completed as required including logs, data reports, procedures, etc

Education and Essential Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent. Some advanced training preferred.

A Sterile Manufacturing Technician is responsible for the manufacturing of sterile liquids for commercial distribution and clinical trials. Personnel in this position will support the production operation by handling aseptic cleaning and specializing in more than one of the processing areas (cleaning, formulation, aseptic filling, equipment preparation, terminal sterilization, etc). This includes but is not limited to operating manufacturing processing equipment by following standard operating procedures and batch records in accordance with FDA current Good Manufacturing Practices. In addition, personnel in this position will employ above average mechanical aptitude and acceptable aseptic techniques while working in controlled and classified environments, some of which require complete aseptic gowning. Personnel in this position will provide support in inspection and packaging areas as required.
* Troubleshoots a majority of basic machine issues and reaches out for maintenance support when needed in order to meet production timelines.
* Serves as setup mechanic for all area specific filling equipment.
* Has mastery of multiple aseptic processing concepts and steps including aseptic cleaning, equipment preparation for sterilization, product pathway assembly, sterile filtration, aseptic filling and terminal sterilization

Perform visual, dimensional, and documentation-based inspections on product and components
Utilize measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.) and inspection standards
Review drawings, specifications, work instructions, and customer requirements
Document all inspection results with accuracy, clarity, and traceability
Identify, tag, and process nonconforming product using established procedures
Assist with corrective action documentation, quality holds, and re-inspection activities
Support ISO compliance, audits, data collection, and procedural documentation
Verify part identification, revision levels, labels, and traceability requirements
Communicate quality concerns to supervision, engineering, and production
Follow safety, housekeeping, and standard work guidelines
All other assigned duties.
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years experience in manufacturing quality inspection or Quality Tech role
Proficient with inspection documentation and recordkeeping
Familiar with ISO procedures, audits, and compliance
Ability to identify, tag, track, and document nonconforming product
Understanding of part identification, measurement tools, drawings, and specifications
strong attention to detail and able to follow written procedures
Excellent communication and reporting skills
Working Conditions
Work is performed in an active manufacturing and warehouse environment with exposure to machinery, material-handling equipment, and production processes.
Requires ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and move for extended periods throughout the shift.
Must be able to lift, push, or pull up to 40-50 lbs as needed.
May require use of ladders, step stools, or reaching into racking or staging areas.
Exposure to moderate noise levels, moving equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, cranes), and industrial materials.
Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, gloves, steel-toed shoes, and hearing protection where needed.
Work may involve temperature variations, including warm or cool areas depending on season and machinery.
Must maintain clean, organized, and compliant work areas aligned with 5S or similar programs.
Position may require overtime, shift flexibility, or weekend work based on production demand.
Physical Requirements
This role requires the ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the facility for extended periods of up to 8-12 hours per shift. The individual must be able to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 40-50 pounds independently, with team-lifting required for heavier items. The job involves physical activities such as bending, kneeling, crouching, reaching, twisting, and climbing as necessary to complete tasks. Repetitive use of hands, wrists, and arms may be required when handling materials, operating equipment, or entering information into computer systems. The employee must be able to read, understand, and interpret instructions, labels, tags, and documents with or without accommodation and must safely operate manual and power tools, measuring devices, and inspection equipment when applicable.

This role will be a contributor to various projects throughout the plant and gain relevant knowledge to processes and procedures in a manufacturing environment.
