RESPONSIBILITIES

The CNA/PCA provides service to a client based on and limited to a client's care plan developed by the RN, the client, and/or the client's family. The care plan is based on an assessment of the client's needs for services, developed in conjunction with a functional assessment and with the input from the client and/or client's family. CNA/PCA services are tasks that are necessitated by a client's disability or chronic condition that limits the client's ability to perform functional activities or daily living (ADL's) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADL's). Take and record vital signs; report changes in condition to supervising nurse.
Assist residents with daily living needs including hygiene, dressing, mobility, meals, and medication reminders.
Support safe transfers, positioning, and ambulation.
Maintain a clean and safe living environment for residents.
Prepare and submit progress notes in a timely manner.
Encourage resident engagement and participation in activities.
Follow infection control, HIPAA, and community policies.
Attend required in-service trainings and staff meetings.
What We're Looking For
Active CNA certification preferred.
High school diploma or GED.
CPR certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days).
Food Handlers Permit.
Minimum 6 months of caregiving experience, preferably with seniors.
Compassionate, professional, and able to handle emotionally charged situations.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., climb stairs, and assist with resident mobility.
Comfort using basic technology for documentation.
