Reprint results when needed or send reprint requests. Manage time appropriately. Be able to interact with other company departments, such as billing, international sales, domestic sales, and customer service relations. Medical Records staff must be able to get results to physicians in a timely manner; striving for 24 hours from the time laboratory staff releasing results into the department to date reporting the requisitions. Comfortable with company changes in policies and procedures. Perform daily tasks, meet daily and monthly goals, which are subject to change. Performs all other duties as assigned. Requirements Required Skills/Abilities: Proficient in information management programs and Microsoft Office software with an aptitude to learn new systems and procedures. Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities. Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills. 10% or fewer mistakes and 45 WPM (9500 KPH). Education and Experience: One to Three years of clerical experience and high school diploma. Associate degree (A.A.) in Business a plus. Relays general instructions to patients or make referrals to other sections. • Obtains updates and files medical records as needed. • Organizes and researches patient records, extract needed information, and reviews records for completeness, accuracy, and consistency within established guidelines. • Ensures arrival of medical records prior to appointment(s). • Initiates and locates patient medical records as needed. • Obtains documentation as requested by healthcare providers (test results, or documentation not yet filed in records). • Performs other administrative and clerical duties in support of medical care and operational support. • Creates appointment schedules and templates in the patient appointment computer system. • Conducts end-of-day process at close of business and resolves any delinquent or pending appointments in computer system. REQUIREMENTS: Education. High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) equivalency. Medical terminology desired. Experience. At least 6 months of experience in an office setting. CPR- Current up-to-date American Heart Association or American Red Cross (AHA or ARC) (Web based will not be accepted) Must be a US Citizen.
