Mendel Safer, Pres. -later becomes Na’amat USA in early 1980’s
1989 The opening of the Mequon Preschool at Beth El Ner Tamid Synagogue in Mequon, Wisconsin.
The Coalition for Jewish Learning (CJL) began its work in 1997, combining the Milwaukee Association for Jewish Education (MAJE) and the Lead Cities Project of the Milwaukee Jewish Federation.
1998 JCC purchases 73 acres of land in Mequon for potential future development of an outdoor Water Park/ Pool.
Ohr HaTorah-Jewish Heritage Center created Holocaust Education Center and Holocaust Resource Center merge to become Holocaust Education and Resource Center, a program of the Coalition for Jewish Learning, 1999
2006 The name of the JCC Early Childhood department is renamed Gan Ami.
2007 Gan Ami moves into a new expanded building on the Karl Campus with twelve new classrooms and atrium complete with aquarium.
2010 J-Shore opens at Bayshore Town Center providing a new connection to the community with activities for young children and older adults
2013 Gan Ami Mequon moves to their new home on Donges Bay Rd.
