NITCO history

In 1955, NITCO moved to a modern building erected on Washington Street, which is the present day site.

The NITCO Group came into existence in the year 1956 with the formation of partnership firm at Delhi under the name of The Northern India Tiles Corporation [Delhis] for manufacturing mosaic tiles.

In the year 1964, another partnership firm was formed under the name of The Northern India Tiles Corporation [Bombays], with Mr.A.N.Talwar, Mr.

Nitco Ltd was incorporated on July 25 1966 as a private limited company with the name Nitco Tiles Pvt Ltd.

In 1976, NITCO moved the company's corporate office to its current location at 205 N. Washington Street in Hebron.

In 1979, construction and installation were completed for a central office switching center in Roselawn.

In the year 1984 they started their operations in Kanjur Marg for import processing and distribution of marble in India.

In 1995, our Comp. commenced to set up a project for manufacture of ceramic tiles at Alibaug in Maharashtra.

In January 25 1996 the company was converted into public limited company and the name was changed to Nitco Tiles Ltd.

Also Cospar Impex Pvt Ltd which was engaged in import of marble merged with the company.In the year 2002 the company set up a unit in Silvassa for processing and sale of imported marble.

In the year 2004 the company started manufacturing paving tiles.

During the year 2005-06 the company increased production capacity of Mosaic Tiles from 84.86 sq ft to 90.88 sq ft.

Also they increased ceramic floor tile capacity by 56% and commissioned in May 2006.During the year 2006-07 the company introduced innovative products namely Timberland Metallica Steps and Risers Dholpur Series Slate Stone Series Estonia Matrix Pietre Del Sol Art Stone Innova and African Slate.

During the year 2007-08 the company launched several innovative products in Ceramic and Vitrified tiles categories.

Also the expansion at the state-of-the-art marble processing plant at Silvassa was completed during the financial year 2010-11.

In 2013, NITCO installed our MetaSwitch, the latest in Voice Connection technology.

Today In 2018, NITCO acquired TV Cable of Rensselaer (ZING TV) adding 1400 TV, Internet and voice customers to NITCO. NITCO welcomed the employees of ZING TV to our NITCO family and the companies' growth continued.
