Position Overview: RN Night Supervisor (Every Weekend)
The RN Night Supervisor provides clinical leadership and oversight during overnight weekend shifts. This role is responsible for supervising nursing staff, ensuring quality patient care, maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations, and serving as a trusted leader during night operations. The RN Night Supervisor acts as a key liaison between residents, families, on-call providers, and facility leadership.
Key Responsibilities of the RN Night Supervisor:
Provide clinical leadership and supervision for nursing staff during overnight weekend shifts
Oversee day-to-day resident care operations to ensure quality, safety, and compliance
Supervise, direct, and support nursing staff to maintain performance and accountability
Ensure units comply with federal and state regulations and facility policies and procedures
Support quality assurance, infection control, and utilization review activities during night operations
Receive, communicate, and implement physician orders as needed
Oversee delegation of nursing and therapeutic procedures to licensed and unlicensed staff
Conduct regular patient rounds to assess resident conditions, evaluate quality of care, and ensure accurate documentation
Serve as the on-site nursing leader and liaison during overnight weekend hours
Qualifications for the RN Night Supervisor:
Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment
Minimum of two (2) years of nursing experience
At least one (1) year of supervisory or leadership experience
Experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or geriatric care preferred
Strong leadership, organizational, and decision-making skills
Ability to read reports, analyze data, and utilize information accurately
Ability to work independently and confidently during overnight hours

Determines best method to resolve issues to ensure client satisfaction and adherence to company policies.
Follows up, either verbally or in writing, to ensure client satisfaction.
Responds to incoming inquiries related to qualifications, instructions or paperwork requirements for various programs.
Addresses inquiries pertaining to operational policies and procedures and relay policies that govern the procedures handled at the retail level.
Communicates and coordinates with Registrations, Sales Management and Compliance Departments to monitor branch and FA status. Acts as liaison for the branches by explaining the many different systems used and directing the FA to the appropriate systems needed.
Works with branches and the Asset Management Services team to ensure independent branches are approved for certain account types based upon analysis done by the associate. Serves as main point of contact for certain firm initiatives, changes, or unexpected events.
Examples are changes to account fees, trade fees, statement and reports Acts as the liaison for the Attorney of the Day process. Responds to FA questions and concerns about the statements and confirms. Must understand and be able to interpret all products and information on various types of statements.
Handles fee waiver questions for the branch. Makes decision based on each case and unique circumstances. Works with branches and advisors on the cost of doing business (trade related costs). Acts as the main point of contact when BCP events arise for the independent branches. Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
