This role is part of the Transportation Organization and is focused on export operations, trade compliance and program support in the defense industry. What You'll get to Do: - Serve as an export gatekeeper and subject matter expert on export logistics and export regulatory compliance requirements for the compliant export of defense industry articles, assuring all internal requirements and processes are followed and reinforced. Provide guidance and support to programs and other internal stakeholders on international trade compliance requirements such as export declarations, classification, Customs valuation, country of origin, returns for repair, material to vendor, etc. Coordinate and provide expertise, guidance and support to programs on project cargo shipments and complex exports. Determine, assign and verify HTS & Schedule B classifications and document rationales, rules of origin and applicability of other government agency trade compliance requirements, required for compliant and accurate declarations to government authorities including but not limited to Customs, Census, DoS, BIS, USMIL, EPA and FDA Determine the best method of transportation globally, referring to documentation for destination, considering factors such as export/import authority, expense, delivery times, and user requirements.
