Responsibilities
The Purchasing Coordinator executes the automated processes related to Purchase Order creation, placement and follow-up. Maintains the database in the MM Module to ensure that product pricing is accurate and contract information is current. Makes decisions of some difficulty. Handles confidential information regarding pricing, patient charges, and hospital budget information. Will perform all work with accord to the mission, vision, and values of Oklahoma Heart Hospital. Participates in the orientations of new employees and the cross training of oneself in all areas of Distribution. Ensures all Vendor information is accurate and makes necessary corrections as vendor provides new information. Process all orders according to schedule for GHX and follows up on any GHX discrepancies (Price, UOM, and Product Number). Process special order requisitions in timely manner and communicates departments of any changes or delivery times.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelors degree preferred.
Experience: Four (4) to six (6) years of progressive experience in the Purchasing/Materiel Management field.
Working Knowledge: Proficient computer operations and general business skills required.

Responsibilities
The Pre-Registration Specialist is often the first point of contact for our patients and therefore must represent Oklahoma Heart Hospital ("OHH") with highest standard of customer service, compassion and perform all duties in a manner consistent with OHH mission and values. The Pre-Registration Specialist will facilitate all components of the patients' entrance into any OHH facility. This will include registration and financial clearance, including taking payments over the phone, helping set up payment plans and giving financial assistance information. This position will also be responsible for ensuring that the most accurate patient data is obtained and populated into the patient record. This team member must have an exceptional attention to detail and maintain knowledge and competence with insurance carriers, Medicare guidelines as well as federal, state and accreditation guidelines.
* Performs pre-registration and insurance verification within 24 hours of receipt of notification for both inpatient and outpatient services.
* Follow scripted benefits verification.
* Contact physician to resolve issues regarding prior authorization or referral forms.
* Assign plans accurately.
* Performs electronic eligibility confirmation, when applicable and document results
* Researches patient visit history to ensure compliance with payor specific payment window rules.
* Completes Medicare secondary payor questionnaire, as applicable.
* Calculates patient cost share and be prepared to collect via phone or make payment arrangement.

Responsibilities
The Float Medical Assistant travels to rural clinics as well as the metro Oklahoma City area to assist with coverage for the physician clinics. Great opportunity to learn from a variety of job functions from the various physician teams. Travel is required and mileage reimbursement when applicable.
Under the direct supervision of the Clinic Nurse Director, Clinic Director or Supervising RN assist with daily clinic patient care such as patient flow, taking patients history and vitals, assisting with diagnostic testing maintenance of medical supplies and other duties as assigned. Float or travel to OHHP locations to fill in for clinical positions on an as-needed basis, following all policies and procedures.
Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
Licensure/Certification: BLS certification required within six (6) months of hire. Newly hired team members with a minimum of 24 months of Medical Assistant experience in the last 36 months AND worked under the direction of a licensed health care professional that did not graduate from certain Medical Assistant programs qualify for this order entry recognition. A letter of attestation is required to apply for this recognition, therefore after 6 months of employment with OHH and proven knowledge in specific required areas according to the Association of Medical Assistants ("AAMA") Assessment Based Recognition in Order Entry ("ABR-OE") program, this letter can be provided. Completion of this order entry competence program will be required within 60 days of meeting the qualifications. If a new team member is hired with no Medical Assistant experience, then they will complete the competence within 60 days after obtaining the 24 months of required Medical Assistant experience.
Experience: Six (6) months to one (1) year of continuous experience in a clinic setting preferred.

Responsibilities
The Hospital Denials Coordinator will work on targeted insurance denials to improve collections and reduce open balances. They will deal with inpatient notices of admission, authorizations, and subsequent denials. The Hospital Denials Coordinator will assist with first and second level appeals under the Denials and Appeals RN's guidance. The Denials Coordinator will assist in identifying trends and finding root causes to prevent future denials, providing high-impact findings to the Denials Manager.
* Works under the guidance of a Denials Manager and Denials and Appeals RN to prepare appeals on clinical denials.
* Submits Notices of Admission for any missing inpatient admission to insurance companies.
* Defend and appeal claims, including researching root cause, collecting required information, adjusting the account as necessary, resubmitting claims and all appropriate follow up activities.
* Requests inpatient authorizations on any admissions that did not receive authorization while the patient was in-house.
* Works with Denials Analyst and Underpayments Coordinator to call attention to areas of opportunity or system/process errors.
Qualifications
Education: High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
Experience: Minimum of two (2) years in technical Insurance Follow-Up or Denials. Clinical Denials experience is preferred; Epic experience is a plus but not required.
Working Knowledge: Insurance collections and denials, with an emphasis on inpatient workflows is preferred.
Essential Cognitive Abilities: Requires strong communication and organizational skills. Must demonstrate independent judgment and sound reasoning ability. Ability to maintain concentration and organization while dealing with multiple issues and frequent interruptions.
