Prior to joining DocuLynx in April 2012, Liess served as Chief Executive Officer of TNA and GWS, COO for T/R Systems and Vice President of Direct Sales at Gateway Computer Company. He served as Senior Vice President at Encad, a specialized print company sold to Eastman Kodak and held executive positions at OCE-USA, a billion-dollar division of a multi-billion dollar European imaging technology, where he set up Mid-Atlantic and Western operations and dramatically grew revenue both organically and through acquisitions. He began his career with Xerox Corporation as an analyst. Within a short time, Liess was among Xerox's top five sales executives in the country. While working at Xerox, Liess earned his Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Rochester and holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Cornell University.
