Payroll Processing & Accuracy Process weekly and semi-monthly payrolls for assigned employee populations using SAP SuccessFactors payroll, ensuring accurate calculation of earnings, deductions, and taxes.
Payroll Tax Support & Compliance Support payroll tax processing activities, including validation and reconciliation of federal, state, and local tax withholdings, agency payments, and adjustments, in coordination with Payroll Tax, Finance, and external vendors.
Internal Controls & Audit Support Execute payroll internal control processes and perform payroll audits to verify accuracy, completeness, and compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
System Configuration & Payroll Integrity Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot payroll schemas, rules, wage types, payroll infotypes, personnel areas, and cost centers to ensure ongoing system accuracy and stability.
Issue Resolution & Root Cause Analysis Investigate payroll discrepancies, tax variances, and system errors; perform root cause analysis and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Cross-Functional & Vendor Collaboration Collaborate with HRIS, Finance, Benefits, and external IT or payroll vendors to support payroll interfaces and implement payroll-related system updates or changes.

Reporting & Data Interfaces Ensure data accuracy across payroll interfaces (SAP to ADP, Finance, and Benefits) and produce SAP payroll and tax-related reports for management and internal and external audits.
PTO & Employee Support Audit and monitor PTO plans related to employee setup, changes, and terminations, and research and respond to employee payroll and tax-related inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Education & Qualification:
High School Degree or GED.
Minimum four years SAP related experience.
Desirable: FPC (Fundamental Payroll Certification
Experience
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business publications, technical procedures, payroll tax regulations, and governmental guidance at the federal, state, and local levels. ·
Ability to analyze moderately complex administrative and payroll data, including organizing, preparing, and coding payroll information, supporting payroll tax reconciliations, and preparing summary reports with a high degree of accuracy.
Demonstrated accuracy in data entry and reconciliation activities, including validation of earnings, deductions, and tax withholdings.
Ability to perform mathematical calculations using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals to support payroll calculations, adjustments, and tax-related reconciliations.
PC literate with intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office, including strong Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables), internet and web-based tools, and SAP payroll modules; experience reviewing payroll and tax data within SAP or downstream vendor systems preferred.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Organize and maintain employee files (including scanning and paperless files)
Provide new hire paperwork to hiring managers or hired applicants
Create new hire folders & filing new hire paperwork
Provides verification of employment to the extent of the law and respond to written request in a timely manner
Search employee files in order to obtain information for authorized persons
Data entry of confidential employee information
Manage workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely
Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports
Understand proper taxation of employer paid benefits
Process correct garnishment calculations and compliance
Ensures that computing, withholding, or deductions associated with net pay is done properly.
Organizes and reviews forms associated with federal, state, and local authorities, such as W-4s.
Maintains I-9 Forms
Oversees the distribution of paychecks or arranges direct deposit programs.
Ensures payroll & HR records are updated and reports on any matters of interest
Answers payroll questions and troubleshooting issues
Communicate with Benefits Administrator for proper deductions and reconciliation of benefit elections
Explain company personnel policies, benefits, and procedures to employees or job applicants when necessary
Coordinate uniform and nametag orders for employees when needed
Communicate and assist HR with various projects as they arise

We're seeking a dynamic and growth-minded professional to join Momentum as a Payroll Lead, responsible for overseeing and assisting with the preparation, analysis, and processing of semi-monthly and monthly domestic and international payrolls. This role will play a key role in ensuring global payroll accuracy, compliance, and process excellence across multiple regions.
As a payroll expert and strategic partner, you'll provide leadership and guidance on payroll processes, internal controls, and compliance. About This Role at Momentum
Prepare, analyze, and process semi-monthly and monthly payrolls for U.S. and select international entities, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness.
Assist with international payroll coordination, working with local payroll vendors and regional partners to ensure accurate payments and adherence to local regulations.
Ensure timely settlement of payrolls, including validation of files transmitted to ADP and other payroll systems.
Generate and review reports for validation and reconciliation before and after payroll processing.
Support final termination payments in compliance with company policy and local laws.
Upload and verify expense and payroll-related transactions in Workday accurately.
Research and respond to internal and external payroll inquiries in a timely and professional manner.

Qualifications
Required
Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field required;
7+ years of payroll experience, including exposure to both U.S. and international payroll operations.
Strong understanding of payroll processes, compliance, and tax regulations across multiple jurisdictions.
Experience with Workday Payroll.
Demonstrated ability to lead through influence, providing direction, training, and guidance without direct supervisory responsibility.
Proven capability in problem-solving, process improvement, and audit support.
Exceptional attention to detail, analytical ability, and organizational skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with cross-functional teams and leadership.
