PanCare of Florida is seeking a compassionate, dedicated Primary CarePhysician to join our mission-driven healthcare team. In this role, you will provide comprehensive, patient-centered medical care to individuals and families, with a strong focus on prevention, chronic disease management, and health equity for underserved and diverse populations.
As a key clinical leader within a multidisciplinary care team, you'll diagnose and treat a wide range of medical conditions, support community-based health initiatives, and help drive high-quality, evidence-based care. What You'll Do
In this role, you will:
Conduct comprehensive medical evaluations, including health histories and physical examinations
Diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic medical conditions across the lifespan
Develop and direct individualized treatment plans and provide patient counseling
Prescribe medicationsin accordance with Florida statutes and professional practice guidelines
Perform minor in-office procedures within scope of practice
Order, review, interpret, and follow up on diagnostic studies (labs, imaging, EKGs, etc.)in a timely manner
Coordinate andfacilitatereferrals for specialty care and services not provided on site
Provide preventive care services, screenings, and health education
Supervise and mentor mid-level practitioners (Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants)
Supervise medical students and trainees as assigned
Participate in outreach and off-site healthcare programs as directed by the Chief Medical Officer
Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure continuity and quality of care
Maintainaccurate,timelydocumentation within the Electronic Health Record (EHR)
Adhere to UDS productivity standards and organizational performance expectations
Participate in peer review, quality assurance, quality improvement initiatives, and provider meetings
Comply withinfection control policies, safety programs, and emergency preparedness protocols
Assistin the development and updating of clinical protocols and standards of practice
Support clinic operations to promote efficient, patient-focused workflows
Perform other duties as assigned to support a well-functioning clinic

Education & Experience
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited medical school
Completion of an accredited residency in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or a related field
Active, unrestricted Florida medical license (or ability to obtain)
Minimum of 2-3 years of primary care experience preferred
Experience in FQHCs or underserved community settings strongly preferred
Experience managing chronic conditions, preventive care, and acute illnesses
Familiarity with EHR systems and medical documentation
Current BLS certificationrequired

Prolonged standing and walking during clinic operations
Occasional lifting orassistingpatients with mobility needs
Manual dexterity for procedures, examinations, and documentation
Ability to bend, reach, and access medical equipment and supplies
Visual and auditory acuity to assess patients and review medical records
Stamina to work in a busy clinical environment with potential on-call responsibilities

Essential Position Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive outpatient primary care for adult and/or family patient populations
Perform annual physicals, wellness exams, and preventive care screenings
Diagnose and manage chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, COPD, asthma, etc.
Treat acute illnesses and minor injuries
Order, review, and interpret diagnostic testing
Develop individualized treatment plans and ensure proper follow-up
Document all patient encounters accurately in the EHR
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including nurses, MAs, and specialists
Participate in quality improvement, population health, and clinic initiatives
Ensure compliance with clinical protocols and regulatory standards
Qualifications Education
M.D. or D.O. from an accredited medical school
Completion of an accredited residency in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
Fresh graduates encouraged to apply
Licensure & Certification
Eligible for an Alabama Medical License
Board Eligible or Board Certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
Current BLS (ACLS helpful but not required)
Experience
No prior practicing experience required - full support and onboarding provided
Experience with outpatient primary care preferred but not mandatory
