1971

In 1971, the Xerox Corporation developed laser technology.

1975

The first laser printers, such as the IBM 3800 and Xerox 9700, hit the market in 1975.

1977

The name of the printing press series comes from a company formed by Benny Landa in 1977 to develop the world’s fastest photocopier.

1981

Master Printer has been owned, all or in part, by Shawn Russell since 1981.

1982

In 1982, there was a considerable salary increase without a corresponding increase in sales or gross profit.

1984

In August of 1984, the partnership realized that it needed to disband.

1986

At drupa 1986 MAN Roland Druckmaschinen AG introduces its LITHOMAN commercial web offset printing press.

1988

From 1988, however, this expense has significantly decreased from .77 percent of revenues to .37 percent.

1990

The Xerox Docutech, launched in 1990, combines a 135 page-per-minute black & white xerographic print engine with a scanner and finisher modules.

Russell started Partners in 1990 to increase market share and penetrate the Theadora market.

1992

In 1992 Australia is the first country to use polymer banknotes for general circulation.

1993

In 1993 the world's first digital colour printing press was launched called Indigo.

1994

If the marketing goals, as outlined above, are not within 25 percent of projection by February 1, 1994, then the following strategy will be implemented immediately:

July 1995 additional equipment purchases (typesetting equipment, presses)

2000

In 2000 the Hewlett Packard Company made a $100m investment in Indigo, which represented 13% of the company's outstanding shares.

2001

One of the bigger players in the market is HP, especially after its acquisition of Indigo in 2001.
