Rosendin's Summer Internship Program is a hands-on training program designed to give you a well-rounded experience. You will work alongside passionate mentors solving real-world construction industry challenges in Construction Project Management, Engineering, Procurement, Estimating,
Safety and Corporate roles.
Our Summer Internship program is a 10-to-12-week paid opportunity.
Your internship, at Rosendin, can be the perfect opportunity to expand your knowledge outside of the classroom and apply the concepts and theories of your major field of study. The hands-on real-world experiences that you encounter during our internship program enable you to develop your potential and make key contacts for future networking. Use your internship to determine your interest level in certain career fields, get feedback from professionals regarding your strengths and weaknesses, and to further your education and expand your resume.
In mid-June, we invite all our Interns across the country, to spend a week at Rosendin's Internship Week. Subject matter includes Construction Project Management, Estimating, Engineering, Safety, and more. We will visit live job sites and have team building events to make this a very valuable part of your overall internship experience.

DPR Construction is seeking interns for our Build Up High School Internship in Construction Management. Tool belts not required! Interns will work in the job trailer, side-by-side with a project team building a major commercial construction project. Exact role will vary based on assigned project. The interns will work closely with members of the project team and will be responsible for participating in the following tasks:

Prior internship experience in pricing or reserving in an actuarial department of an insurance / reinsurance / consulting company is a plus
Successful completion of one or more actuarial exams of the Society of Actuaries, or equivalent credentialing organization
Exposure to (re)insurance concepts with a preference towards Life lines of business
Communication skills with the ability to present results to various colleague constituencies
Ability to develop professional relationships across functional areas such as Claims, Underwriting, Financial Accounting, Actuarial Pricing
Ability to understand numbers and analyse drivers of change

SUMMARY: The Event Operations Intern performs and supervises a variety of duties in the Event Operations Department of Charlotte Motor Speedway Operations; and performs related duties as assigned.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Reports to the Senior Manager of Event Operations to ensure that all events are serviced by pre/post cleaning, event setup and teardown, and facility maintenance projects
* Responsible for pre/post event trash pickup duties and hauling waste
* Involved in event setup equipment including barricades, parking cones, bleachers, and fencing
* Involved in track setup operations including setting barriers, track asphalt maintenance, and painting
* Performs pressure washing duties around property including grandstands, concourses, sidewalks buildings, and other facility areas
* Completes work order assignments in a timely manner
* Work events and perform various duties as needed to make event successful
* Performs preventative maintenance on all department equipment to ensure efficiency
* Assembles and moves furniture along with other equipment around property
* Attends Manager's and other staff meetings and is involved in logistical planning discussions
* Assists management in production and review of vendor RFPs
* Helps to ensure vendors are meeting the parameters of their contractual agreements
* Inventory review of Operational assets such as bike rack, trash receptacles, fencing, etc.
* Production of word or excel documents as needed by management
* Provide management with 360 feedback on workflow efficiency and performance of all fellow operations crew members
* Assist with the setup and teardown of all events as directed by management
* Assists other departments when needed

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
* Knowledge of event operations for a large scale multi-function event complex
* Knowledge of a variety of operations equipment including pressure washers, forklifts, tractors, etc.
* Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions.
* Skills in following safety practices and recognizing hazards.
* Skill in using hand and power tools.
* Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with CMS staff and the customers.
* Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT: Work involves moderate to heavy work in all types of weather. There is frequent need to stand, stoop, walk, lift heavy objects up to 50 pounds and perform other similar actions during the course of the workday. This position is 29 hours a week plus additional hours and possible overtime during our event seasons. It is required that the position is available to work all three shifts during event weekends.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High School diploma or GED and one (1) year event operations experience in a large event facility, or any equivalent combination of training and experience. Involvement in a College degree seeking track that requires an internship in the Facility Management or Event Management field. Must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver's license is required, and a clear driving record is required.
This is a paid internship at a hourly rate.
