The idea of PROJECT C.U.R.E. was created in 1987 by James W. Jackson.
In 2005, the Ministry of Health of Belize and PROJECT C.U.R.E. established a partnership to deliver medical supplies and equipment to Belize.
In 2010, PROJECT C.U.R.E. partnered with Belize Natural Energy and the Ministry of Health of Belize to ship medical supplies to a hospital in Belmopan.
In July 2015, Newmont Mining signed a three-year agreement with PROJECT C.U.R.E. to provide medical supplies to developing countries and training for health providers.
