Duties and responsibilities
Triage incoming calls and walk-ins.
Review lab results, images and other test results, and work with provider to address abnormal results.
Communicate with other team members and other departments as needed to provide integrated care.
Provide training and education and oversees nursing students.
Perform nursing services such as administering vaccines (Pediatrics and Adults), performing POC tests, ear lavage, wound care, VS/Assessments (triages and in emergency situations), and venipunctures.
Offer services to onboarding employees, including TB testing and administration of vaccines.
Participate in off-site events by overseeing ancillary staff and nursing students.
Assist with transporting vaccines and ensures appropriate temperature monitoring is taking place.
Assist Nurse Manager with developing training material, conducting training, and overseeing ancillary staff completing their competency checks.
Assist with other projects, such as developing patient education handouts and documentation cheat sheets.
Complete other related duties and projects as assigned.
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree (BSN) in Nursing preferred or equivalent education and training in a related field.
Minimum of two years of nursing experience.
Active RN License from State of California required.
ACLS and PALS certification preferred.
CPR Certification.
