WHAT YOU'LL DO
To troubleshoot electro-mechanical problems, installations, and perform unscheduled repairs and scheduled maintenance on equipment based on customer demand and need. To provide complete customer satisfaction in a polite and professional manner while working in a Team environment.
Effectively analyzes problem situations pertaining to breakdowns of customer equipment and recommends action necessary to correct the situation to customer.
Exhibits a professional demeanor, promotes goodwill between the company and customers by providing a superior level of customer service.
Performs necessary repairs to correct analyzed situations in a professional and productive manner.
Performs scheduled maintenance on equipment for contracted customers according to Carolina Handling Scheduled Maintenance policies and procedures and proactively addresses needed repairs with customer
Maintains parts and supplies inventory in service van and maintain van service
Responsible for following customer's safety and housekeeping guidelines when performing repairs at customer site.
Performs other duties as assigned.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
Need to maintain a valid driver license
Preferred one to three years mechanical, electrical and hydraulic experience in a similar environment or equivalent in college or vocational education.
Ability to communicate effectively with customers, management and co-workers.
Ability to maintain a good understanding of industry innovations and product availability in order to make recommendations based on customer need.
Ability to safely operate drills, grinders, presses, forklift, hoists, overhead cranes and personal hand tools.
Ability to draw upon available support resources from within the company and recognize when it is appropriate to do such.

This role will be mostly based out of Tifton , Georgia but may travel within the Southeast area of our shops. We are seeking a skilled and hands-on Field Service Technician to support the maintenance, repair, and installation of equipment across our Retail locations within a Region. The ideal candidate will possess a solid mechanical and technical background, a problem-solving mindset, and a strong commitment to safety and compliance. This role requires up to 75% of travel, physical work, and the ability to handle a wide variety of service and repair tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
* Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair a wide range of automotive service equipment at our Centers.
* Perform scheduled and emergency service visits, documenting all work in Corrigo or other CMMS platforms.
* Diagnose and repair equipment including:
* Air Compressors (single-phase and 3-phase), compressed air systems, dryers, pressure regulators, filters, and hose lines.
* Automotive Lifts (hydraulic/electric), ensuring safety and operational standards are met.
* Automotive Service Equipment such as transmission fluid exchange machines, coolant service systems, etc.
* Oil Delivery Systems: pumps, pressure regulators, metered control guns, overhead reels, and oil tanks.
* Automotive A/C Service Machines (EPA Section 609 certification preferred).
* Conduct basic electrical tasks including lighting repairs, circuit breaker resets/replacements, and code compliance.
* Handle basic plumbing repairs such as sump pump replacements and bathroom fixture repairs.
* Perform general handyman duties including painting, drywall repairs, door fixes, and minor concrete work.
* Use ladders and work in elevated positions as needed.
* Travel daily to multiple service sites and respond to emergency service needs promptly (75% travel)
Qualifications:
* Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record. You must pass MVR records check.
* Proven experience diagnosing, installing, and maintaining equipment.
* Comfortable working with:
* Basic hand tools and power tools relevant to maintenance and repair work. We will supply the tools necessary to do all job functions.
* Working knowledge of electrical and plumbing systems.
* Familiarity with work order management systems (Corrigo preferred). Or could learn computer applications quickly.
* Must be willing to travel and capable of physical labor, including working on ladders and in tight spaces (75% travel)
