About the Position:
The Department of Radiation Oncology at Penn State Health is seeking a Faculty Clinical Therapeutic Medical Physicist to join our dynamic and expanding team. The therapeutic medical physics division includes nine faculty and staff physicists who provide comprehensive clinical services across three Penn State Health locations. The department is deeply committed to academic scholarship, innovation, participation in national cooperative groups, and the professional development of its faculty.
Penn State Health maintains an active presence in NRG Oncology and encourages physics faculty involvement in protocol development, clinical trial implementation, and national working groups. This position will primarily support clinical radiation therapy physics services at Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center in Hershey, PA. Responsibilities include:
* Providing clinical physics support for external beam radiation therapy, including IMRT, VMAT, IGRT, SBRT, and SRS
* Supporting brachytherapy programs, including LDR and HDR
* Performing routine and advanced quality assurance, contributing to treatment planning, and leading or participating in commissioning and clinical implementation of new technologies

**Requirements:**
+ PhD in Medical Physics, Physics, Engineering or related basic science
+ At least two years of clinical experience in radiation oncology physics
+ Eligible for ABR/ABMP certification in Therapeutic Radiological Physics
+ Strong verbal and written communication skills
The following education, experience, and/or certifications would be an asset, but are not required:
+ ABR/ABMP certification in Therapeutic Radiological Physics
