Play a leading role in datacenter site selection and technical due diligence at Amazon. You will lead technical site due diligence projects, partnering with stakeholders across the AWS infrastructure organization, to shape the future of AWS' infrastructure growth and investments.
You will play a key role in site selection and site due diligence for new and existing AWS regions. You will scope the technical studies and analysis required to appropriately evaluate prospective datacenter sites, hire and oversee the work of engineering and technical consultancies, understand the inter-relationships between technical disciplines, coordinate with internal stakeholders, and interpret the results of this analysis to make site acquisition, design, engineering, and technology recommendations. You will evaluate the impact of identified site risks and constraints on development costs and schedules.
The right person for this role will have a strong track record of technical program management, the demonstrated ability to deliver multiple high priority projects simultaneously, the ability to drive alignment across teams with competing priorities, and be a strong advocate for technical risk management.
Key job responsibilities
- Guiding the expansion of AWS infrastructure in new and existing regions by delivering technical site risk analysis and due diligence assessments.
- Owning infrastructure site selection and due diligence projects, applying standard approaches, templates, designs, and processes.
- Scoping, contracting, supervising, coordinating, and interpreting the results of engineering, environmental, and technical studies

We're looking for a Senior Risk Manager to support and contribute to the ongoing design and implementation and day-to-day management of our enterprise risk management framework, with a particular focus on Operational risks, and with Financial risk management as an additional secondary area of focus. This role will report into Airtable's GRCP (Governance, Risk, Compliance, and Privacy) team.
What you'll do
Conduct third party security and privacy reviews on softwares, contractors, and other services to Airtable to reduce third party risks
Identify third party business risks and recommend risk treatment options to internal business stakeholders
Determine security contract requirements and communicate those to the Procurement & Legal team
Communicate with vendors and internal stakeholders to gather information needed for initial and periodic security and compliance reviews, validations, and audits, and to understand business objectives
Perform annual reviews on critical vendors to meet compliance and customer requirements
Collaborate with Procurement, IT, Legal, Finance to improve third party due diligence process
Provide general support to the GRCP team as needed
Who you are
General understanding of security, compliance, and privacy frameworks such as SOC2, ISO27001, ISO27701, GDPR, CCPA
Experienced with SaaS/Cloud suppliers
Familiarity with cloud data compliance and working with public cloud solutions (AWS)
Have knowledge of and interest in third party information security challenges and trends, including emerging threats
Independent self-starter, ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Detail-oriented and organized
Ability to take action quickly and drive to improve processes for efficiency
Flexible and able to change gears and focus depending on team and company priorities
Certifications such as CISA or CISSP is a plus

The Investment Operations Alternative Investments Analyst-Associate performs complex investment-related financial analysis work. The incumbent will assist with or plan, design, implement, and administer investment information and reporting; compile, analyze, and evaluate related financial data; and consult with Investment portfolio managers and TRS management on information and reporting needs. This position will proactively work with the Budget and Accounting team, IMD staff, and TRS employees. This position reports to the Investment Manager, Budget & Accounting
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Investment Process and Reporting
• Processes setup, lifecycle transactions, and monthly/ quarterly valuations of alternative investments, including but not limited to capital calls, distributions, and capital account statements in internal system (SimCorp) and with the Custodian,
• Reviews financial statements of the investment to ensure changes in the capital call statements are reasonable, reviews the audited financial statements and disclosures to ensure any issues are noted, and makes recommendations for resolution.
• Researches the causes of and reconciliation of complex financial holdings, performance and other investment data discrepancies on a daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis with SimCorp and the Custodian for alternative investments.
• Performs research and analysis of alternatives' investment data, including conferring with Investment portfolio managers, TRS management, and staff to meet business data and reporting needs.
• Assists with identifying and sharing best practices with team members and supports development of data management infrastructure for alternative investments.
• Assists with developing new or revisions of existing data analysis and reporting system techniques, models, and methodologies.
• Assists with assessments of investment analysis, data, security, and
reporting needs.
• Creates or assists with creating metrics, outcomes, and reporting objectives.
• Analyzes pricing data, cash movements, trading information, and other issues that affect alternatives' portfolio valuation, performance, compliance and regulations.
• Provides support for audit requests or accounting reports.
• Monitors data feeds and recommends appropriate corrective action to ensure accurate data flow between systems.
Portfolio Services
• Works with owners to create and present investment data for decision making.
• Participates on or leads various investment operations related projects to implement strategic initiatives or improve system integration between applications, custodian, internal and external partners, portfolio analytics and other third-party software.
• Actively researches and identifies areas for improvement around operations, reporting and investment systems.
• Updates and maintains operational documentation, policies and procedures.
• Facilitates resolutions cross-organization.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING:
Required Education
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in business administration, finance, accounting, operations research, math, information technology, liberal arts or a closely related area.
• A Master's degree in a related area may substitute for a year of the required experience.
Required Experience
• One (1) year of full-time investment operations, data management, accounting, financial analysis, trade settlement or related experience requiring compilation, reconciliation, and/or analysis of detailed information (Analyst).
• Three (3) years of full-time investment operations, data management, accounting, financial analysis, trade settlement or related experience requiring compilation, reconciliation, and/or analysis of detailed information (Sr Analyst).
• Five (5) years of full-time investment operations, data management, accounting, financial analysis, or related experience requiring compilation, reconciliation, and/or analysis of detailed information (Associate).
Required Registration, Certification, Licensure

Preferred Qualifications
• One (1) - seven (7) years of full-time professional investments experience or other experience involving a high degree of skill in data analysis and evaluation, such as accounting, financial analysis, or statistics.
• Experience with Alternative Investments such as Hedge Funds, Real Estate, or Private Equity.
• Certification as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and/or Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) or working towards CPA/CFA/CAIA.
• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) statements, and Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB).statements

The incumbent will play a key role in representing Risk Management in U.S. Consumer new product development initiatives, in close partnership with functional teams across Credit and Fraud Risk (CFR). Assisting in liaising with neighborhood groups, local organizations, adjacent property owners, and other parties interested in the development, organizing meetings with such parties, if requested, prepare information on the development for such parties.
Providing advice and recommendations as to the selection procedures for the Housing Tax Credit application for scoring purposes.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office with emphasis on Excel.
Strong initiative, with the ability to manage multiple projects and follow-through effectively.
Solid understanding of accounting principles (GAAP).
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to complete projects accurately and on time.
Detail oriented with excellent organizational and analytical skills.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Pursuing a bachelors degree or higher with a focus in Accounting, Business, Finance, Law or Real Estate required.
WAGE & SCHEDULE:
$13.50 per hour, paid bi-weekly.
Commitment of 20-40 hours per week.
