Key Responsibilities

Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

* Accurately analyzes transactional account trends and patterns, identification documentation to efficiently document a conclusion upon completion of EDD reviews of high risk customers. Makes recommendations to accept high risk, mitigate to medium/moderate risk, or refer for account closure
* Provides updated information to the appropriate Financial Crimes Risk Manager for updating/revising procedures for the handling of newly identified high-risk customers, to include the proper method to review such accounts and to report suspicious activity, document relationships and/or recommendation of account closure if deemed necessary
* Reviews reports in Verafin to determine if there are NGO (Non-Government Organizations), MRBs (Marijuana-Related Businesses), or MSB (Money Services Businesses) unidentified in the BSA system. Adds tags and comments as needed
* Evaluates transactional activity in accounts identified as Privately Owned ATMS (POATMs) or MSBs to determine any unusual patterns or lack of cash activity based on trends
* Stays up-to-date on MSB and MRB requirements for Louisiana, Mississippi and Texas, Alabama, and Florida as well as federal guidelines
* Communicates with applicable bank personnel to obtain any further documentation and/or information necessary to complete the investigations or reviews of high risk accounts
* Tracks documentation required on all MSBs and directly works with retail and lending employees to resolve any exceptions
* Processes alerts in Verafin that reflect any Privately-Owned ATM type transactions for accounts not previously identified as POATM owners
* Adds comments to new Remote Deposit Capture (RDC) accounts in Verafin with risk rating assigned
* May be assigned alerts in Verafin for red flags or new account scenarios and others as assigned to review and determine if the alert can be cleared or needs further investigation
* Utilizes a variety of internal bank systems and external research tools to investigate, research, and prepare documentation related to anti-money laundering investigations
* Develops an understanding of the industry and AML related regulations, as well as patterns of behavior that represent suspicious activity

What You Can Expect
As a Senior Quantitative Analyst, you will report to the Head of Risk. You will leverage AES Clean Energy's large-scale renewable and battery storage portfolio to conduct quantitative risk analysis. **Broking Placement Overview**
WTW's Broking teams deliver superior results for our clients' business and risk management needs through deep industry specific expertise. The role of a broker is to help our clients mitigate their total cost of risk. The brokerage team operates as the firm's intellectual capital where we work with our clients to assess, model, and structure risk. Once modeled, the broker personally escorts the clients' risk into the market and draws upon their market relationships and their negotiation skills to secure quotations from the insurance carriers. While the nature of the work is similar day-to-day, no two placements are the same and common tasks may include: preparing and sending out submissions, liaising with markets, analyzing exposures, working through risk models, and negotiating quotations.

Job Summary
The Analyst will support the monthly close process for management reporting and assist in FP&A activities and analysis. In addition, this role will be responsible for aspects of general ledger maintenance, revenue accounting, and most critically, the management books. This position is the day-to-day steward of the management close process-responsible for preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and schedules that convert legal/statutory financials into management-view reporting. While not the process lead, this individual will be the main person ensuring that management books are accurate, complete, and closed on time each month. Act as the primary preparer of management book journal entries, ensuring accurate conversion from legal/statutory financials to management-view reporting
Support the month-end close process for management books, ensuring timeliness, accuracy, and completeness of entries, reconciliations, and reporting schedules.

Partner with FP&A business units leads to prepare journal entries and supporting workpapers for the management month-end close process.

Maintain supporting schedules, calculations, and documentation for management book entries to ensure legal to management reconciliation as well as audit readiness and accuracy.
Contribute to process improvement initiatives to streamline reporting, revenue recognition, and accounting / FP&A workflows.
Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and variance analyses for management review.
Support FP&A processes and activities, including consolidation of inputs, identification of trends, variances, and potential opportunities or risks, ad hoc analysis, as well as budgeting and forecasting processes, and preparation of presentation materials.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field required.
1-3 years of relevant experience in FP&A, accounting, or financial analysis.
Solid understanding of GAAP and financial statements.
