Summary:
$15,000 SIGN-ON BONUS (Full-time) or $7,500 SIGN-ON BONUS (Part-time)
External applicants and newly licensed internal applicants may be eligible for a sign-on bonus with a one-year work commitment for a full-time or part-time position. Previously employed applicants who have been gone from the organization more than 90 days may also be eligible.
OhioHealth currently has MRI Technologist openings at various locations across the organization on varying shifts. The applicant's location of interest will be discussed during the initial screening process. Depending on the location, there could be a call requirement for the position.
The MRI Technologist prepares patients for testing (including thorough screening questioning), assists the radiologist during testing, operates the MRI equipment for a variety of procedures, maintains supply inventory in assigned rooms, and covers call duty, as assigned.
Responsibilities And Duties:
Operates MRI equipment, including the magnet, injectors, independent consoles, physiological patient monitors, and cardiac gating/monitoring equipment.
Uses equipment to properly adjust pulse sequences according to body part and diagnosis.
Demonstrates correct and adequate anatomic positioning skills.
Performs daily safety and quality control checks for the system.
Sends images to PACS for interpretation.
Transfers images to independent console for further manipulation.
Reformats and performs post processing of images for radiologist interpretation.
Administers MRI contrast agents

Mammographers are responsible for producing good quality exams in a timely manner while practicing good patient care and maintaining accurate patient records. The position assures the Mammography program meets all FDA Mammography Quality Standards Act and American College of Radiology requirements and standards.

Summary:

Location:
This position is part-time (30 hours/week) Monday-Friday from 8:30am-5:00pm EST and will be fully remote. The candidate will be required to report on-site for trainings, meetings, or other business needs.
What You'll Do:
Performs medical or behavioral review/authorization process. Ensures coverage for appropriate services within benefit and medical necessity guidelines. Evaluates outcomes of plans, eligibility, level of benefits, place of service, length of stay, and medical necessity regarding requested services and benefit exceptions. May initiate/coordinate discharge planning or alternative treatment plans as necessary and appropriate. Ensures accurate documentation of clinical information to support and determine medical necessity criteria and contract benefits.
Utilizes allocated resources to back up review determinations. Identifies and makes referrals to appropriate staff (Medical Director, Case Manager, Preventive Services, Subrogation, Quality of Care Referrals, etc.). Participates in data collection/input into system for clinical information flow and proper claims adjudication. Demonstrates compliance with all applicable legislation and guidelines for all regulatory bodies, which may include but is not limited to ERISA, NCQA, URAC, DOI (State), and DOL (Federal).
Provides patient education with members and providers regarding health care delivery system, utilization on networks and benefit plans. Serves as member advocate through continued communication and education. Promotes enrollment in care management programs and/or health and disease management programs.
Maintains current knowledge of contracts and network status of all service providers and applies appropriately. Assists with claims information, discussion, and/or resolution and refers to appropriate internal support areas to ensure proper processing of authorized or unauthorized services.
Provides appropriate communications (written, telephone) regarding requested services to both health care providers and members.
To Qualify for This Position, You'll Need the Following:
Required Education: Associates in a job-related field.
Degree Equivalency: Graduate of Accredited School of Nursing or 2 years of job-related work experience.
Required Work Experience: 2 years' clinical experience.

Conducts comprehensive risk assessment either face to face in the ED or through telehealth to maximize continuity of care with the family.
Engages in consultation and collaboration with hospital and community professionals and programs in order to develop and communicate a crisis treatment plan for patients and families and provides recommendations for follow-up.
Substance Use Add On:
Use of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy intervention as well as other evidence-based practices, such as Motivational Interviewing.
Involve family in therapy sessions and provide behavior modification techniques as clinically indicated.

Responsibilities And Duties:
Maintains records and communicates information
Administers MDI, medication nebulization, posture drainage, positive pressure breathing, mechanical ventilation, oxygen and aerosol therapy, incentive spirometry, etc.; observes patient during treatments; performs auscultation, checks pulse and respiratory rate; notifies Medical or Nursing Personnel of any adverse reactions; records pertinent data on patient charts; carries out interventions appropriate to patient age, sex, physical and developmental need.
Prepares for patient treatment: receives orders from Physicians and Advanced Practice Practitioners for treatment; reviews requests to determine requirements for treatments; prioritizes work assignments; gathers necessary materials and equipment and transports to patient's bedside; prepares medications, explains treatment and breathing procedures to patient; follows protocols.
Maintains the patient airway, including the use of artificial airway. Achieves adequate respiratory support for patient. If applicable, per care-site policy, performs intubation in emergency situations,
Performs invasive procedures such as suctioning and arterial blood gas sampling/analysis to ensure proper airway function and to provide relevant diagnostic data.
Responds to stat calls, Codes, Emergency response calls (known as RAT; RRT; etc.) and participates in trauma and resuscitation procedures; assists with transport of patients requiring ventilator support.
