In this unique and life-changing career, couples reside in on-campus student homes and provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for a group of approximately 8-13 students living in the home. Flex Houseparents play a vital role in creating a structured, family-like environment that fosters students' academic, emotional, and social development so they can reach their full potential.
Responsibilities include:
Providing daily supervision and mentorship
Managing household routines and student schedules
Administering medications and ensuring student wellness
Driving students to activities, as well as planning and actively engaging in developmental and recreational activities with students
Leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel

Upon hire, Flex Houseparents initially support various student homes and follow a working schedule of nine consecutive days on duty, followed by three days off. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to provide in-person support at a specialized school in Philadelphia, PA. This position is for maternity leave coverage through June 18, with potential Extended School Year (ESY) opportunities from July 7 - August 2.
Position Details:

Student Population: Students with unique communication needs in a specialized learning environment
Responsibilities:
Provide direct speech-language therapy services
Collaborate with teachers and support staff to enhance student communication skills
Develop and implement individualized therapy plans based on student needs
Maintain accurate progress documentation and reports in compliance with school and state regulations
Qualifications:
SLP: Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, CCC-SLP certification, and state licensure
SLPA: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders, plus state licensure
Experience in a school-based or specialized setting preferred
Knowledge of AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) is a plus

Student, Family, and Community Engagement
