General Function:
Provides prompt, efficient and friendly customer service by maintaining a safe and secure store environment for customers and employees. The retail security officer patrols and monitors premises, and, if needed, apprehending theft suspects in compliance with Hy-Vee's standards and guidelines.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Exhibiting respect, concern and patience in all customer and employee interactions.
Monitors the store property, as well as customer and employee activities, for potential theft of assets or damage to assets on Hy-Vee's property.
Takes appropriate action to prevent theft; apprehends individuals engaged in theft activity.
Contacts and coordinates with local law enforcement regarding known offenders or suspicious persons observed during duties, parking lot accidents, notifies fire department or ambulance services in case of emergency, maintains public safety within the store.
Reports unsafe conditions inside and outside of the store to management.
Reports any internal theft suspicions and observations to Loss Prevention Area Manager.
Accurately completes all incident reports.
Assists Loss Prevention with investigations.
Reports to work when scheduled and works expected number of hours.
Maintains attendance, dress code and grooming standards according to set guidelines.
Ensures operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturer's instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions and calling for repairs
Makes recommendations to Directors regarding loss prevention best practices.
Attends and participates in store security-related meetings.
Adheres to Hy-Vee's policies, procedures and individual store guidelines; maintains high ethical standards.

*What You'll Be Doing (i.e., Job Duties)*
* Lead the preparation of all quarterly and annual filings with the SEC, in accordance with U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations, including preparation of monthly balance sheets, income statements and quarterly statements of stockholders' equity and preparation of disclosures.
* Assist in coordinating the review and approval of quarterly and annual SEC filings by all relevant parties, including the Disclosure Committee, Audit and Compliance Committee, external auditors, and internal and external legal counsel.
* Support Investor Relations through tie out and other quality assurance review of their externally published materials, and prepare and file the earnings release 8-K.
* Prepare the accounting/finance portion of quarterly Disclosure Committee and Audit Committee decks and present at the Disclosure Committee meeting.
* Lead the Maintain SEC reporting calendar and project manage the SEC reporting process to conform to this calendar, efficiently and effectively coordinating across teams.
* Coordinate with accounting policy on new accounting standards issued by the FASB and accounting and reporting guidance issued by the SEC to determine the impact to the company's disclosures, including writing position papers as needed.
* Support management in completing special projects as assigned and be a financial reporting resource for ad-hoc questions and initiatives.
* Responsible for the coaching, mentoring and management of the SEC reporting team, including across multiple time zones in a mostly asynchronous environment.
* Ensure SEC reporting processes and disclosures represent best practices, recommending and assisting in the implementation of disclosure and process improvements as appropriate, including simplifying, standardizing, and streamline processes.

Role and Team
As a Security Guard, you will be an integral part of the Security Team executing processes at our facility to ensure our associates, customers, and assets are protected. At our gates, you will be the face of ADESA to our customers, vendors and associates. You will play an active role in ensuring our Inventory Control procedures are followed. You will be adept at utilizing ADESA technology. You will support vehicle location research when necessary. This position is hourly and reports to the Operations or designated manager. Responsibilities
Secure all gates and buildings and patrol the premises. Sound alarms and notify authorities in case of emergency.
Verify only authorized individuals enter the property. Provide facility directions to customers, vendors and transporters.
Check gate passes to ensure vehicles are authorized to exit property.
Check departing vehicles to guard against theft of company property.
Greet customers at the gate and provide prompt and courteous service. Resolve customer complaints in a friendly manner.
When difficult situations arise, de-escalate situations to ensure we win with partners and collaborate on the forefront.
Using a handheld device, input vehicle information including the VIN number, miles, owner identification, vehicle options, repair orders and any other pertinent information.
Verify the VIN number being entered matches the VIN number on the shipper's Bill of Lading.
Watch and report irregularities such as fire hazards, leaking water pipes and doors left unsecured.
Account for and identify all keys, codes or other safety and security information
Maintain a current list of emergency and management telephone numbers
Maintain good operating condition of all equipment and facilities, including handheld devices and printers. Notify management of all breakdowns and maintenance needs.

Role and Team
As a Security Guard, you will be an integral part of the Security Team executing processes at our facility to ensure our associates, customers, and assets are protected. At our gates, you will be the face of ADESA to our customers, vendors and associates. You will play an active role in ensuring our Inventory Control procedures are followed. You will be adept at utilizing ADESA technology. You will support vehicle location research when necessary. This position is hourly and reports to the Operations or designated manager. This position may work various shifts and weekends.
Responsibilities
Secure all gates and buildings and patrol the premises. Sound alarms and notify authorities in case of emergency.
Verify only authorized individuals enter the property. Provide facility directions to customers, vendors and transporters.
Check gate passes to ensure vehicles are authorized to exit property.
Check departing vehicles to guard against theft of company property.
Greet customers at the gate and provide prompt and courteous service. Resolve customer complaints in a friendly manner.
When difficult situations arise, de-escalate situations to ensure we win with partners and collaborate on the forefront.
Using a handheld device, input vehicle information including the VIN number, miles, owner identification, vehicle options, repair orders and any other pertinent information.
Verify the VIN number being entered matches the VIN number on the shipper's Bill of Lading.
Watch and report irregularities such as fire hazards, leaking water pipes and doors left unsecured.
Account for and identify all keys, codes or other safety and security information
Maintain a current list of emergency and management telephone numbers
Maintain good operating condition of all equipment and facilities, including handheld devices and printers. Notify management of all breakdowns and maintenance needs.
Maintain a professional appearance and orderly work environment
Practice and promote teamwork continuously. Set a good personal example of attitude and performance
Maintain a good flow of communication with all auction team members and leaders

The successful candidate will need to be detail oriented and able to communicate effectively with Laboratory staff, researchers, students, visitors, and the general public.
Schedule for this position is 4:00 p.m. - 12:00 a.m. with rotating weekends, and one additional day off during the week. A valid REAL ID Driver's License is required.
