The Security Specialist (SS) is responsible for controlling facility access, guarding the property via monitoring through surveillance and in person. Security Specialist will obtain help by sounding the alarm and engaging with local law enforcement and the fire department. This position reports irregularities, informs violators of policy and procedures, and prevents access to the site by unaffiliated and/or individuals.
Essential Functions:
Provide constant monitoring of the surveillance system; provides support by informing department leads of any areas of concern. Reports safety concerns, security breaches and unusual circumstances both verbally and in writing immediately to proper authorities for emergency responses and relay any concerns to Program Management that might represent a danger to clients, staff, property, and vehicles.
Perform routine inspection of office areas, parking areas, security equipment, mechanical spaces, dumpster location, landscaping, and rooftop areas. Monitor staff conduct, possession of contraband.
Keep record of clients leaving the premises by recording the date, time, transporting staff, vehicle number, destination, and client/staff ratio within the vehicle.
Keep a log record of all visitors including vendors, service providers, attorneys, ICE and Border Patrol.
Scan employee and minors' badges in and out, check all doors, conduct routine rounds and perimeter checks several times during the shift.
Responsible for inventory control/inspection of two-way radios, cellphones, mobile work-station units, and company vehicles.

Qualifications and Requirements
Preferred Education/Work Experience:
Level: High School Diploma or GED
Staff shall be 21 years old or older.
1 year of monitoring or relevant experience.
1 year of previous work/volunteer experience with juveniles is preferred.
College degree in Human Services field is preferred.
Valid, active driver's license and Clean Driving record is required.
Security and Safety Trainings is preferred.
Ability to read, write and converse proficiently in Spanish and the ability to translate written Spanish into English
Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office, SharePoint, OneDrive) with the ability to learn new software
Previous experience following and enforcing procedures and regulations.
Military experience is beneficial.

The Security Specialist is required to maintain a flexible, organized, and efficient work schedule and is subject to work extended hours, weekends, and be on-call. Travel as needed for trainings, conferences or to transport youth to destinations located within the U.S.
Work is performed mostly in an office setting. Some overnight travel; public speaking, evening, and weekend work are requirements of the position. Regular computer work is also required. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand; walk; sit; finger, handle, or feel objects, or controls; reach; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, or crouch; talk and hear. The Global Security & Safety department is responsible for ensuring the safety, security and well-being of all ESPN human resources, guests and assets. In addition, we provide security and safety services for all ESPN owned and leased facilities and ESPN remote events worldwide!
The Security Specialist will assist in all Main Security Office functions to include security Implementation, emergency response, supervise fire and HVAC Systems, partner with local police and fire departments, dispatch operations, and emergency notifications. This role is a significant contributor to ensuring property and people protection and the safety at The Woodlands facility located in Montgomery County, Texas.
What Will You Do?
Greet, screen, and advise all visitors following the established procedures.
Implement company security and parking policies consistently and fairly.
Supervise company property, identify and report safety and security hazards.
Secure property as advised.
Completes and issues hot work permits.
Conducts inspections per hot work permit processes to preserve safety at ESPN facilities.
Conducts fire watch assignments in designated hot work areas.
Provide appropriate general information to visitors and employees.
Perform general security system checks and access control duties at high traffic exterior posts in accordance with established procedures.
Monitor fire alarm control panel and interpret alarm indicators for emergency type and location. Rapidly reposition to location of possible emergency and assess, resolve and respond within a three (3) minute timeframe from initial alarm.
Assist with scheduling maintenance for fleet vehicles.
Respond to medical, fire, security, and other safety related emergencies and incidents as trained and write comprehensive reports following established procedures.
Might be asked to provide security presence at special events (on or off-campus).
Perform vehicle inspections in accordance with established inspection protocols.
In some instances, establish barricades, operate gates, and generally direct vehicular and pedestrian traffic.
Complete special assignments and assist with Command Post and Global Operations Center duties
Accurately build work orders documenting requestors name, location, type of service needed and dispatch maintenance personnel to the accurate location of requested work orders.
Identify craft on all routine requests and build work orders
Assist in the distribution and tracking of related departmental keys.
Supervise handheld radio channels for HVAC, Electrical, Maintenance, Construction and Safety to facilitate communication between groups.
Receive and process all requests for facilities services through phone calls or email and radio.
Supervise main company external phone line and direct incoming telephone calls as appropriate.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Must possess and maintain a valid Texas DL.
One year of customer service or related experience.
Must pass a pre-employment background check, DMV check, and urinalysis drug screen.
Currently possess and maintain a valid Non-Commissioned Security Officer License in the State of Texas or be able to acquire on within 30 days.
Flexibility to work varying schedules (hours and days off) and work overtime as approved.
Perform basic work tasks on computers, including using MS Outlook email and Word.
Maintain a professional presence in image and interactions.
Complete required hot work permit training.

As a Deportation Officer at the Entry Level you will work with more experienced officers to provide support and perform the following segments of work related to immigration investigation, custody, identification and location, arrest, prosecution and deportation:
* Assist with the apprehension of individuals that are accused of violating immigration or related laws;
* Assist with preparing investigative reports in sufficient detail and accuracy to support possible prosecution and/or administrative action;
* Perform law enforcement support duties such as taking fingerprints and photographs;
* Conduct routine interviews using various law enforcement methods and techniques (e.g., observation, interviews, document inspection, data analysis, etc.) to respond to a variety of immigration inquiries and complaints; and
* Document, transport, deport, and/or escort criminal and non-criminal migrants under the guidance of a more senior officer.

You qualify for the GL-5 grade level if you possess one of the following:

Physical Abilities Assessment: All applicants must pass the PAA prior to graduation from FLETC. The PAA consists of two parts: Criterion Task Test (CTT) and a 1.5 mile run. The CTT consists of a timed obstacle course that involves a vehicle exit, barrier surmount, low crawl, window egress, stair climb, repeat crawl, pre-cuffing position, 175 lbs. dummy drag, repeat barrier surmount, and a sprint. The CTT is then followed by a 1.5 mile run in 14 minutes and 30 seconds or less.
Motor Vehicle Operation: You must possess a valid state driver's license and be able to drive an automobile or light truck. You may also need to obtain and maintain a state commercial driver's license to operate an over-the-road bus capable of transporting 30 or more persons.
Age Restrictions: The date immediately preceding an individual's 40th birthday is the last day to be referred for selection (PL 93-950 and 100-238). However, the age restriction may not apply to individuals who are qualified preference-eligible veterans or who are currently or have previously served in a federal civilian (not military) law enforcement position covered by 5 U.S.C. 8336(c) or 5 U.S.C.§ 8412(d).
Training: Candidates selected will be required to attend and successfully complete the ERO Basic Immigration Law Enforcement Training Program located at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC). DO training is approximately 50 days in duration. Please note, in accordance to ERO Training policy 11158; no one will be permitted to attend more than two ERO Academy training sessions.
NOTE: Employees who do not successfully complete basic immigration law enforcement training and are terminated from training are ineligible to return to the ERO Academy for training, unless selected as a law enforcement officer under a different vacancy announcement. No one will be permitted to attend more than two ERO Academy training sessions.

* Deportation: Reviewing cases for legal sufficiency to identify and process for removal, violators of federal immigration laws who meet agency prosecutorial guidelines; presenting cases for civil deportation proceedings including those to federal attorneys; recommending custody conditions and preparing formal detailed documentation for the purpose of adjudication and responding to applications for immigration benefits or relief, including bonds, parole, voluntary departure, stays of removal, and deferred action.
* Partnering: Adhering to any mandatory legal, regulatory or policy requirements under international treaties and agreements regarding consular notification and access; collecting, evaluating and reporting information based on national intelligence collection requirements to include those related to national security, such as terrorism and proliferation of weapons and technology, the president's strategy to combat transnational organized crime, and illegal trafficking of weapons, persons, drugs, and money.
