SPECIFIC DUTIES INCLUDE* * Responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment within the College's buildings and grounds. * Assists in developing and recommending for approval policies, plans, programs, and procedures designed to enhance security within the college community * Checks and reads daily the Public Safety Bulletin and makes themselves aware of any special events or circumstances that are occurring within their area. * Secures all buildings and windows. * Admits authorized personnel only into buildings after they have been secured. * Works special details as required. * Assists and directs students, staff and visitors; furnishes information and instructions in an accurate, courteous manner. * Provides assistance to individuals who are sick or injured. * Prepares oral and written reports documenting all incidents and security breaches encountered. * Accurate completion of all departmental forms and reports. * Enforces parking policies and procedures. * Other Duties as assigned. * PLEASE NOTE: This job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibility that are required of the employee for this job. Summary/Objective The Security/Fire Alarm Specialist is a key field technician with responsibilities that include install, troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and program various types of building security and alarm systems in order to continuously grow the revenues of the company while satisfying customers' requirements, and staying compliant with required regulations and guidelines. Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers. Provide detailed oral and written feedback to management concerning customer issues. Coordinate and communicate effectively with team members and customers. Participate in department on-call rotation and work flexible hours as required. Follow up calls to customer with any changes to the schedule if necessary and once work is complete to ensure customer satisfaction Assist Security Project Managers with completing and managing documentation for projects Work closely with Security Project Managers and Security Service to ensure customer commitments are met on time and in an organized efficient manner.
