About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Business Development Representative to drive the early stages of our business development cycle relating to peptide discovery technologies. This position will be responsible for lead generation, initial outreach, and first client interactions to support the out-licensing of our peptide discovery platform. You'll be the first point of contact for potential partners, helping to build relationships and identify strategic collaboration opportunities. Final deal negotiation and closing will be supported and led by our Business Development leadership, ensuring a seamless transition from initial engagement to executed partnerships. This individual will also interact with our Science and Legal teams. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of the peptide discovery landscape, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work proactively and independently.
This role reports to our VP, Business Development and Strategy.
This is a remote opportunity based out of the United States and will require up to 30% travel and occasional meetings at OmniAb's headquarters in Emeryville, CA. This is a full-time position, and the working hours are generally within 8am-5pm PT.
What You'll Do
Develop a deep understanding of OmniAb's platforms and corporate objectives through collaboration with internal stakeholders.
Initiate and manage first contact with potential partners, delivering tailored messaging and nurturing relationships throughout the licensing process.
Serve as the primary point of contact for prospects during the early phases of the partnering process.
Interact with internal teams (Science and Legal) to ensure alignment.
Coordinate and track early-stage partnering activities and provide regular status updates.

What You Bring
