Lead model selection, feature engineering, embedding strategy, and prompt frameworks (e.g., LangChain, LlamaIndex).
Design and build robust data pipelines that are scalable, reproducible, and versioned.
Collaborate with Data Engineering and DevOps on pipeline integration, data normalization, and system deployment.
Set coding standards and mentor junior engineers; perform model/code reviews and LOE, scope and roadmap refinement.
Own delivery of AI/ML-powered components from prototype to production (REST APIs, dashboards, or embedded agents).
To qualify for the role, you must have
A bachelor's degree in Business, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, Analytics, or other related field and 5 years of related work experience; or a graduate degree and approximately 3 years of related work experience.
Full-time, hands‑on experience applying AI/ML to solve real-world problems.
Strong experience using the following ML models: XGBoost, LogisticsRegression or similar.
Strong understanding of real-world structured data merging, schema linking, and model evaluation at scale.
Strong understanding of ML workflow including ingesting, analyzing, transforming data, and evaluating results to make meaningful predictions.
Fluency in Python, PyTorch or TensorFlow, with ability to architect APIs around ML models.
Proven experience designing, building, and maintaining ML models, frameworks, and pipelines.
Experience working with and/or leading cross‑functional business/engineering teams to deliver complex solutions.

As the EngineeringManager for the Amplify Engineering team, you will:

Own the vision and oversee the implementation of the Klaviyo Demo Studio (KDS) - a homegrown product used by our Sales organization to demonstrate Klaviyo's value to prospective customers.

Who You Are
6-8+ years of software engineering experience, including 3-5+ years managing high‑performing teams in a fast‑paced SaaS environment.
Experienced with full‑stack development and modern web architectures, typically React/TypeScript on the front end and Python/Django (or equivalent) on the back end.
Skilled at leading teams that build internal platforms, tools, or systems for automation and efficiency.
Strong communicator who can align stakeholders, manage competing priorities, and drive consensus across teams.
A natural mentor and coach who develops engineers through constructive feedback and opportunities for growth.
Comfortable navigating ambiguity and driving clarity - you set direction even when the path isn't fully defined.
Excited to experiment with AI tools to boost team productivity and innovation.
Nice to Have
Experience building internal developer tools, automation systems, or operational dashboards.
Familiarity with AWS (or other cloud providers), Terraform, and Kubernetes.

30 Days: You're hands‑on with the Klaviyo Demo Studio and its underlying tech stack, learning its architecture and facilitating technical trade‑off conversations.
60 Days: You're assessing team roadmaps, weighing stakeholder and team input, and ensuring alignment with the vision and priorities you're setting for the team.
90 Days: You've implemented tools that improve how your team and stakeholders work, reviewed key architectures, and led by example through proof‑of‑concept work to guide your engineers.
In Your First Year
By your first year, you are recognized as the point person for your team's areas of ownership. You've built a reputation for delivering impactful results quickly, learning from outcomes, and iterating effectively. You're partnering closely with your design and product counterparts to deliver against goals for the Klaviyo Demo Studio and developing tooling that enables deeper adoption of KDS across the company.
