Pay: $29.00-$36.00 per hour and a $1000 90-Day Probationary Completion Bonus.
Hours: 6 PM-6 AM
This position will report into the Maintenance Supervisor and serve as an interface between Production, with additional reporting to the Maintenance Manager and Plant Manager.
What You Get To Do:
Troubleshoot and repair various manufacturing equipment, including those with motors and motor controls.
Utilize hands-on knowledge and experience of industrial computerized controls, variable speed drives, level sensors, limit switches, pressure switches, proximity sensors, photo-electric sensors, and IEC-style contractors and starters.
Metal fabrication and/or welding skill is preferred.
Perform weekly lubrication of plant processes and ancillary equipment.
Disassemble and reassemble the asphalt pump and replace packing in pumps and valves.
Replace and align motors, gearboxes, belts, chains, sprockets, and pulleys.
Work unassisted as the on-duty line maintenance operator, responding to all line calls and completing the daily maintenance call log.
What We Look For:
High school diploma or GED preferred.
A minimum of 1 year of previous experience in a related capacity and/or vocational school or other training program is preferred.
Previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

Job Summary:
Support DAWSON s Commercial Door Services contract at Fort Cavazos, Texas. As the Lead Technician, you will perform and oversee preventive maintenance, repair, and replacement of overhead and automatic doors across Army facilities. You will ensure all work meets safety, quality, and performance standards established by the Directorate of Public Works (DPW) and the Performance Work Statement (PWS). Working closely with the Project Manager and Government representatives, you will help maintain operational readiness and secure facility access throughout the installation.
Location: Fort Cavazos, Texas
Responsibilities:
Perform scheduled preventive maintenance, repairs, and replacements on overhead and automatic door systems in accordance with manufacturer specifications and PWS requirements.
Lead day-to-day field operations and provide technical direction to assigned technicians and subcontractors.
Maintain compliance with ANSI A156.10, A156.19, and A156.38 standards, ensuring safety and reliability of all serviced door systems.
Ensure compliance with EM 385-1-1, OSHA 29 CFR 1910, AR 385-10, and all Fort Cavazos safety, fire, and environmental regulations.
Conduct inspections, adjustments, lubrication, and operational testing of door components, operators, controls, and safety devices.
Document all maintenance and repair actions, completing required checklists, service call reports, and deficiency logs.
Coordinate with facility points of contact (POCs) and the COR for access, scheduling, and deficiency reporting.
Support the Project Manager in implementing the Quality Control Plan (QCP) and ensuring contract deliverables are met on time and within specification.
Respond to emergency service calls within required timeframes and ensure doors are secured and operational following repair.
Train and mentor junior technicians on safety procedures, proper tool use, and maintenance best practices.
Enforce key control, site access, and security protocols per Fort Cavazos regulations.
Qualifications:
Minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience in the commercial door field, including maintenance, repair, and installation of overhead and automatic doors.
Competent person credentials in Fall Protection, Scaffolding, Hazardous Energy Control, and Confined Space.
Completion of the 30-hour OSHA General Industry or Construction Industry Safety Course, or equivalent EM 385-1-1-based training.
Certification or documented experience meeting ANSI A156.10, A156.19, and A156.38 standards.
Ability to interpret technical drawings, manufacturer manuals, and safety data sheets (SDS).
Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently.

1. Maintain all door hardware in the district.
2. Change lock combinations, set locks for as many as four different keyways, disassemble and repair locks, make keys, install locks/door checks/panic hardware.
3. Responsible for issuance of keys to employees and vendors.
4. Troubleshoot and repair RFID card readers/door hardware.
5. Complete repairs as directed on work orders or by administration.
6. Assist with general maintenance as needed to complete tasks.
7. Preform all other duties as assigned by supervisor.
