About the Role
As an Installation Technician, you'll collaborate closely with Lead Technicians and Project Managers to deliver exceptional whole-home automation and entertainment experiences. You'll play a key role in installing, wiring, and testing, a variety of cutting-edge systems, ensuring every detail meets the highest standards of quality and performance.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in the installation, configuration, and commissioning of high-end residential A/V systems, including:
Home audio and video systems

Dedicated home theater rooms and entertainment spaces
Support Lead Technicians in wiring, rack building, and system integration.

JOB SUMMARY

What you will do
Under minimal supervision, conducts preventive maintenance, repair, installation, and commissioning and general servicing of systems (including detailed troubleshooting of systems). Responsible for high levels of customer satisfaction through direct, on site, customer interface. How you will do it
Diagnoses and repairs complex control systems malfunctions requiring extensive knowledge of a variety of electronic or digital controls systems and ability to test and write modifications in multiple languages of systems software.
Consults with the customer through data gathered and site assessments. Provides field proposals for retrofits, upgrades and or enhancements to existing equipment. Assists sales by providing technical recommendations for sales leads.
Manages assigned work to meet professional and efficient execution of time and customer satisfaction. Reports problems or changes to management immediately. Interfaces with branch manager, service manager, service project manager or subcontractors on projects to coordinate activities as required ethically and professionally.
Provides sketches of field changes and discrepancies for engineering corrections and drawings. May assist with job layouts and bid proposals.
Communicates with customers upon arrival and before leaving the work site. Ensures high levels of customer satisfaction. Meets regularly with customers to become familiar with operating problems. Keeps customer informed on the service provided, outstanding issues and recommends system enhancements, upgrades, and replacement. Promotes the sale of add-on work.
Adheres to all Johnson Controls and customer safety standards. Provides safety leadership and instruction to all control's technicians in the branch. Provides safety awareness while working onsite with Johnson Controls subcontractors.
Trains the customer in control systems operations. Delivers manuals and documentation to the customer for training needs as required.
Provides mentorship for certification of Controls Technicians and Service Technicians on complex building automation systems. Coaches, supports and trains the technical workforce on non-complex, non-critical equipment.
Compiles job documentation, such as certificate of completion, customer training form, training certificates and punch lists.
Conducts extensive self-study (reading, research and practice) to improve and maintain technical proficiency in company's product lines. Completes certifications as required by the company.
Other duties related to the installing, commissioning and servicing of building controls and facilities management systems and energy management systems, as assigned.
Assists in the design and configuration of building control systems as defined by the contract documents. Creates flow diagrams, sequence of operations, and bill of material, network layouts and electrical schematics as required.

Compiles and/or completes project as built and close-out documentation.

Responsibilities for Auto Technician
Inspecting vehicle engine and mechanical/electrical components to diagnose issues accurately
Inspecting vehicle computer and electronic systems to repair, maintain and upgrade
Conducting routine maintenance work aiming to vehicle functionality and longevity
Maintain a personal tool set with everything needed for diagnostics and repair.
Work with Service Advisor to complete estimates for customers
Follow dealership and manufacture policies and procedures for record keeping, safety, environmental, and insurance regulations.
Maintain a clean and safe shop environment
Requirements
Qualifications for Auto Technician
Manufacture specific training (Preferred)
ASE Certification (Preferred)
Certificate or degree from accredited automotive technician training program (Preferred)
3+ years experience as an automotive technician in a shop environment
Attention to detail and the ability follow direction precisely
Must be able to read, write and communicate effectively.
Skilled in the operation of shop machinery (Tire Machine, Wheel Alignment Machine etc)
Knowledge of OBD1 and OBD2
Clean and valid driver's license
Pass back ground check and pre-employment drug screen.

The primary responsibility of the Automotive Service Technician is to perform Automotive Service out of the JF Petroleum Group as it pertains to completing Service Work Orders. The Automotive Service Technician is responsible for Service Work Order Completion, accuracy, review, and scheduling. There is a wide spectrum of daily roles including but not limited to: Service Work Order (SWO) prioritization, planning, and quality. Along with these responsibilities the Automotive Service Technician will assist on projects as determined by the Automotive Field Operations Manager, while consistently demonstrating proficiency in all essential duties.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Provides complete oversight of the JFPG Automotive Service Effort including but not limited to: dispatch, and call prioritization.
Coordinate with JFPG Automotive Dispatcher to receive, complete, and process all Automotive SWO's
Provide all information necessary to maintain timely invoicing of Automotive Service Calls
Aids in the education and enforcement of company policies and procedure on the job site.
Establishes and maintains communication and a positive relationship with other JFPG departments with regard to Automotive Service and possible needs for additional resources
Determines parts and resources needed for completion of Automotive SWOs.
Reads and interprets blueprints, plans, sketches or product specifications to determine sequence and methods of assembly and installation of assigned tasks.
Communicates effectively with other departments within JFPG as well as JFPG Customers seeking Automotive Service.
Maintains strict adherence to quality, and safety standards.
Identifies the elements of project design and construction likely to affect the Service effort
Manages Service Work Orders to meet customer satisfaction and provide timely responses
Police and maintain order in the Automotive Service Area of the JFPG Warehouse at all times
Maintain Rolling Inventory on the Automotive Service Vehicle assigned
Monitor Automotive Service Parts Inventory to stock adequate inventory for normal, routine Automotive service calls
Implementation and utilization of Mobil Tech. technician software application for time tracking, service call entry, and inventory control
Planning Activities:
Analyzes work to be accomplished to assure that all information, tools and materials required are present prior to beginning work.
Works with JFPG Automotive Field Operations Manager to develop schedules and determine resource requirements in order to maintain maximum efficiency and production on each SWO assigned.
Safety Activities:
Understands, complies and enforces JFPG safety policies.
Understands, complies and enforces OSHA safety requirements.
Participates in safety programs provided by employer.
Considers work to be performed to identify potential safety hazards and either eliminates the hazard or reports the problem to the Automotive Field Operations Manager for resolution prior to beginning work.
Insures the use of the proper safety equipment at all times by all employees under his direction.
Reports accidents or injuries to personnel office immediately. Aids in the investigation and documentation of job-related accidents.
Administrative Activities:
Provides proper documentation, as required by company policies and procedures or as requested by General Manager or other departments within JFPG (ie: vehicle maintenance sheets, absence request forms, petty cash reimbursement.)
Reports immediately any unacceptable behavior or work habits of co-workers or subcontractors. This includes any violation of company policy, applicable safety standard, local, state or federal law.
Performs regular safety inspections of tools and equipment to maintain a safe working environment..
