ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Child Nutrition Services - Installation, Maintenance & Repair * Services and repairs walk-in and reach-in freezers, refrigerators, ice machines, and other refrigeration equipment. * Replaces compressors, condensers, evaporators, fan motors, and other electrical components typically found in commercial kitchen equipment. * Installs, repairs, and replaces dish machines, ovens, steam tables, warming cabinets, and garbage disposals; as well as heating elements, light bulbs, door handles, hinges, water solenoid valves, and any components. * Assists in the installation of convection and steamer ovens; replaces elements and electrical components in boiler section and steam chamber. * Replaces boiler when necessary. * Repairs and replaces steam jacketed kettles and washing machines (including pumps, timers, belts, tubs, and transmissions). * Locates and stops gas leaks; replaces burners and pilot assemblies. Safety * Maintains inventory of district-owned tools, equipment, and materials. Performs preventive maintenance on tools and equipment and ensures that equipment is in safe operating condition. * Follows established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties including lifting and climbing.
