From the Field perspective - the technician will travel to customer sites (processing plants, remote locations onshore, offshore, etc) for the purpose of troubleshooting and repairing (if required and able) valve & regulator assemblies. Minimum Required Qualifications * Utilize proper techniques to splice fiber optic cable. * Prep/Splice single-mode (SM) and multi-mode (MM) optical fiber cables * Troubleshooting of fiber utilizing an OTDR. * Strong communication skills are required between the splicer and tech ops manager to address problems as soon as possible. * Proper record keeping and be able to review cable records as necessary. * Knowledge, understanding, and practice of safety regulations within OSHA, NESC, NEC, and other construction-related guidelines. * Maintain equipment and vehicle to a high standard. * Work indoors and outdoors as needed. * Iterate to the project/construction managers detailed accounts of field activity, both verbal and written. * Coordinate with tech ops managers to verify and perform work as directed. * Night work as needed for things like node splits. * Able to be on call for emergencies involving damaged cables. * Must know ribbon fiber. * Must know fiber to the home. What you'll do… We are looking to hire a detailed-oriented, driven, and resourceful Microgrid Mechanical Technician to assume responsibilities for multiple Microgrid generators. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of performing maintenance on power generation equipment, electrical experience as a plus. The Microgrid Mechanical Technician will coordinate with Area Managers to ensure generators are maintained, serviced, and operate for customer requirements for on demand electricity. The position is remote in Beaumont and will report to the Area Manager. You'll make an impact by: * Perform skilled repairs of Volvo Penta Diesel Engines (16 L), Power Solutions International (21.9 L) and Marathon generator ends, as well as various voltage control and synchronizing equipment. * Be proficient at learning and utilizing manufacturer specific software to troubleshoot and diagnose engine and control system problems. * Facilitate technical support and liaison with equipment manufacturers. * Perform scheduled, preventive, or predictive generator maintenance tasks. * Perform troubleshooting and repair tasks. * Perform periodic inspections to identify maintenance needs. * Work in potentially confined areas of high heat and humidity, and cold. * Follow company process and procedures for verbal/written communications. * Utilize all current technology for communication, documentation, and research. * Ensure Safe Operation of electrical equipment by enforcing company and industry standards. * Safely prepare, operate, and maintain motor vehicles for the purpose of conducting company business. * Additional responsibilities may be added at the direction of Company's management. * Safely prepare, operate, and maintain a motor vehicle for purposes of conduction company business Requirements You'll sweep us off our feet if you: * Volvo Penta Diesel Engine experience * Diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
