Apprentice Level (Level I) - best for candidates who have a passion for learning and a willingness to train. Experience working in any related field is a plus, but most importantly an understanding of mechanics and the ability to fix a variety of products is needed.
Service Professional Level (Level II) - this is the sweet spot for anyone who has at least a year of experience in a related field and knowledge of the basic concepts of electrical and hydraulic troubleshooting. Service professionals are well attuned to customers and can communicate effectively while in the field.

What We Look For

Job Purpose:
Performs one or more of the following specialized trades:
* Mechanical: Complex troubleshooting, service and maintenance of mechanical equipment including but not limited to chillers, cooling towers, pumps, fans, gears, compressors, piping, valves, etc.
* Electrical: Complex troubleshooting, service and maintenance of electrical equipment including but not limited to low (120V) and medium voltage (230/480V) switchgear, relays, etc.

Primary Functions:
* Install, maintain, troubleshoot and service all types of mechanical, electrical and instrumentation systems under minimum supervision.
* Ensure the safety of all equipment and personnel in the course of performing job duties.
* Provide supervision to technicians and contractors during maintenance and repair activities.
* Utilize the OUC LOTO system at all times.

General responsibilities:
Responds to the needs of a 24/7/365 operation
Must be able to work after hours and weekends. Remain in service during outages until resolved
Remain in a state of readiness to handle call issues when on call. Readiness includes being in local market, be in a state of mind so as to perform service and having company provided communications equipment ready to receive calls.
Must be able to work emergency schedules during natural disasters and network outages
Requirement to meet up-selling and upgrading of customers with additional Summit Broadband's products and services
Full accountability in safety, productivity, quality, workmanship and customer service
Maintain vehicle in a clean and professional manner
Dress in approved Summit/OTC branded clothing and arrive to work in a neat and professional manner
Ability to multi-task
Ability to deal with and solve problems using solid judgment skills
Uses excellent hearing and listening skills to receive detailed information

Requirements
Job Qualifications:
Must have valid driver's license with a clear MVR
Employee is required to drive during night time conditions
You must have close vision, color vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust your focus with good hand-eye coordination
Must be able to pass standard background check
Must pass pre-employment and compulsory drug screening
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required
Three to five years telecommunications experience required
Must be able to lift 75 lbs repeatedly
Must be able and willing to climb ladders and work on utility poles
Must be able and willing to work in adverse weather conditions and attics and crawlspaces
This job could require working from a bucket truck and performing various work duties from such an environment
Must have and maintain own required hand tools
Computer skills to sufficiently process trouble tickets

• ASE certification is preferred.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Install, troubleshoot, and repair 12V electrical systems on commercial vehicles.
Wire and mount lighting systems, control panels, and warning devices.
Build wiring harnesses for lighting systems and control boxes.
Make custom brackets to mount lights/strobes, controllers, and distribution boxes.
Install truck mounted attenuators and other vehicle-mounted safety systems.
Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and installation manuals.
Perform quality control checks and safety inspections on completed installations.
Diagnose and repair customers' lighting/electrical systems, truck-mounted attenuators, and various other traffic safety equipment.
Maintain accurate records of work completed and parts used.
Collaborate with team members to meet production timelines and project specifications.
Operate a forklift for transporting materials.
Operate manual material handling equipment such as hand jacks and wheeled carts safely.
Lift and carry merchandise as needed.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
Keep warehouse, including inventory, neat and orderly.
Assist in waste disposal and recycling activities.
Assist with inventory counts.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Adhere to all safety procedures and company policies.
Shift: Monday - Friday; 6AM - 2:30PM plus overtime as needed.
Hourly pay rate 20-23.00
Qualifications
2+ years of experience in automotive electrical work or related field (vocational training considered)
Strong knowledge of 12V systems, relays, fuses, and wiring standards
Experience with upfitting or outfitting work vehicles is a plus
Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively
Ability to read and interpret technical documents and schematics
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. throughout your shift
Must be able to lift, bend, sit, and stand for 8 - 10 hours per day
Must take direction well and work well within a team
Preferred Skills
Experience installing TMAs, emergency lighting, or traffic safety equipment
ASE or EVT certifications are a plus
Welding or fabrication experience a bonus
