Full-time Description
The Shipping and Receiving Clerk will be responsible primarily for the maintenance and good order of the shipping and receiving records and work area. Responsible for the carrying out of those jobs and/or assignments set forth by the department manager. This person will administer internal procedures and reports.
Key Responsibilities/Essential Duties
Pulling orders, shipping, receiving, and making deliveries
Verifying that orders are accurately filled by comparing items and quantities of goods gathered for shipment against documents
Ensuring that shipments are properly packaged, identified with shipping information and loaded into transporting vehicles
Preparing and keeping records of goods shipped, e.g., manifests, bills of lading
Verifying the correctness of incoming shipments by comparing items and quantities unloaded against bills of lading, invoices, manifests, storage receipts, or other records; checking for damaged goods; insuring goods are appropriately identified for routing to departments within the establishment; preparing and keeping records of goods received
May be required to operate machinery such as a forklift
Required Skills/Abilities
Proficient at math and reading
Must be persistent, energetic, and reliable with a clean driving record
Prior experience in the construction, equipment, or oil industry is preferred
Must have a valid Driver license

Most work is performed in an office/warehouse environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers, and filing cabinets.
This is a full-time position. The standard hours of work are Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week.
Travel to visit customers within in region as well as occasional travel for meetings or training outside the region is expected for this position
