Record shipping orders, label and pack items into containers for shipping. Verify and approve shipments (outgoing or incoming). Pull, scan, package, and label shipments Verify orders for accuracy Education and Training High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred but not required Physical and Technical Abilities The ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy objects (e.g., 30-50 lbs or more), and move with agility is crucial. Strong physical coordination is necessary for safely and effectively handling equipment and products. Basic math skills for inventory tracking, order accuracy, and other logistical tasks. Attention to Detail Organizational Skills Communication Time Management Other Requirements Reliability:A positive work history with a demonstrated commitment to showing up on time is often preferred. Flexibility:Willingness to work extended hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, may be necessary. Job Description A High School Diploma or GED equivalent, successful completion of an approved program of instructor preparation in warehousing or industrial education and the equivalent of two years of experience, one year of which may have been part of the instructor preparation program, or, two years of recent experience beyond the recognized training or apprenticeship period; and six years or more of recent experience leading to a broad base of knowledge and skills in warehousing. (Up to three years of trade experience may be waived for the successful completion of the National Occupational Competency Test.) Substitution: Education and experience above the high school level may be combined to meet the minimum requirements for this position. One year of college education may be substituted for two years of Job Corps experience or experience in a similar area.
