Mr. Smith began his AMERICAN SYSTEMS career in August 1980, and has been instrumental in aligning the company’s business development and delivery of strategic offerings with customer needs. Mr. Smith has held a number of roles with increased responsibility within the company before being named President and Chief Executive Officer in 2014. In January, 2015, Mr. Smith was named to the Wash100 list of influential leaders in the Government Contracting community by GovCon Executive. Mr. Smith received a B.S. in Physics from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from George Washington University.
