As the Senior Engineering Manager for Applications Engineering, you will serve as the primary technical interface with customer leadership and internal cross-functional teams during the ITO (Inquiry-to-Order) phase. You will define the best technical configuration and strategy for firm proposals, ensuring GE Vernova's solutions remain aligned with customer expectations throughout ITO, OTR, and pre-ITO activities. Job Description Roles and Responsibilities * At a regional level - Provides technical expertise and develops technical solutions (configuration, performance estimation, economics, etc.) as part of the ITO (requisition) process while interfacing with the commercial team for Generator. The role is pivot to documentation of technical specifications & costing elements for further contract execution phases. * Manages a small to medium team of senior professionals as well as others. Requires specialized knowledge within the function. Be familiar with standards - National Building Code (NBC), International Building Code (IBC), AISC - specification for structural steel buildings, ASTM for structural steel material specification and finish, AWS welding requirements and National Electrical Code (NEC). Support of onsite project operations including failure mode and root cause analysis, maintenance and troubleshooting support, and operating procedure review. Travel to sites for site review and work with onsite field engineers, as well as provide engineering evaluations, mechanical systems audits and startup as needed. Offer creative, out of the box solutions to the customer. Create and improve existing engineering plans, processes and procedures. Perform annual performance evaluations and set objectives for their Engineering team members.
