Responsibilities
People Leadership and Team Development

Resolve employee relations challenges, complaints, suggestions, etc. using sound human relations principles. Ensure proper follow-through on all directives, bulletins, schedules, and accounting from the General Manager, designated manager, or other corporate sources.
Frequently and effectively communicate across the team and ensure the flow of cross functional communication between departments.
Business Development
Lead the dealer consignment and commercial account teams in accordance with corporate guidelines to ensure achievement of maximum sales volume in the most profitable way possible.
Support end to end solutions for all customers and advise the sales team with demonstrated knowledge on products, services, and maximization of technology.
Ensure the use of marketing tools on selected customer accounts as instructed.
Leverage strong business acumen; monitor all local competition and recommend competitive strategies to the General Manager and marketing department.
Attend Profit and Loss Statement reviews each accounting period with the Controller and General Manager. Manage sales records, controllable expenses and cost items affecting profitability.
Monitor all customer accounts and work with other managers to ensure compliance with sale plan layouts, corporate requirements, and other directives. Advise and assist with corrective procedures or collecting outstanding receivables, if needed.
Customer Service
Create and maintain positive rapport and trusted relationships with customers and employees in a transparent, reliable, and positive manner and act as the at-auction point person for customer related needs.
Ensure that fast and friendly service is provided to all customers in support of growth to the customer base. Resolve any customer complaints in a friendly, courteous manner. Advise the General Manager or designated manager of all serious complaints or incidences.
Operations & Process Execution
Turn operational and process initiatives into actionable tasks; support operational administration to move vehicles through the process with strong understanding of processes, collaboration across the organization, and communication internally.
Inspect work performed by auction operations to ensure that the work conforms to the customer's request.
Compliance and Safety
Monitor and control all facility conditions, vehicles, property and equipment for property cleanliness, maintenance, and safety.
Develop strong partnerships with the corporate teams to implement and ensure compliance with all company initiatives, policies, procedures, and applicable state and federal laws are always followed.
Monitor and ensure compliance with all contractual customer, contractor, and supplier agreements.

Perform audits to ensure that each branch is maintaining records of equipment purchases, repair work, and equipment maintenance through the appropriate tracking systems
Create a Service Department staffing template to identify which positions are needed and how many people in each position based on business flowing through each branch
Evaluate Service staffing at each branch on an ongoing basis to ensure appropriate staffing levels
Partner with Marketing and HR to create an effective recruitment and on-boarding plan for all Service positions
Establish a Service Employee testing and evaluation process to identify levels of knowledge and to give guidance on how employees should be working to advance their skills
Develop an annual recurring training schedule to ensure all mechanics are rotated through training with the Corporate Service group on an annual basis
Prepare and deliver corrective actions as necessary on a timely basis and in accordance with company policy
Ensure all required OSHA certifications and required safety training courses have been completed and are maintained within each branch location
Maintain and enforce company safety standards for all Service personnel, and enforce environmental systems and procedures applicable to daily work activities of all Service personnel

Primary Focus

Ensures compliance with all state, federal and local laws and regulations in the areas of health, safety labor and employment, as well as any applicable company policies, guidelines and procedures. Communicates all pertinent Company information to restaurant personnel.
Selects, hires, trains and develops General Managers and Assistant Managers, conducts performance reviews, administers salaries and initiates disciplinary action and/or termination. Evaluates performance and approves wage increases for restaurant personnel.
Directs General managers in the maintenance of restaurant equipment and facility, including: makes independent decisions regarding equipment repair or replacement, contacts Maintenance Technicians for repair needs; approves invoices with dollar authority and follows-up on costs and/or questions with vendors; recommends required capital maintenance expenditures; and provides input in the capital budgeting process.
Reviews administrative tasks including: personnel paperwork (new hire, terminations, leaves of absence, injury, etc.), conducts General Manager Orientations, oversees various audits, inventory and ordering of miscellaneous items.
Directs General Managers in planning, coordinating and implementing restaurant marketing activities in the local community to promote brand products and service and to enhance community relations through special promotions, sponsorships, local advertising, etc.
Investigates, resolves and responds to guest complaints. Performs other related activities in accordance with policies and procedures as assigned by management.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for the supervision of 20 - 50 salaried managers.
REQUIREMENTS:
The District Manager position is often considered the most important position in the company and requires a candidate with 3+ years' experience working in a multi-unit management capacity with tangible results.
