Accordingly, compensation will vary based on the ability of the individual to secure a donor team to fund the cost of his/her salary. The anticipated salary range for this position on a full-time basis (40 hours/week) is dependent on a variety of factors, including location and cost of living. The actual salary received, including any geographic adjustment to account for location and cost of living, is subject to the individual's ability to raise funds necessary to cover the full amount of such salary within the range set forth in the job posting details. May work up to 19 hours per week. DRESS CODE: Casual wear with appropriate coverage; closed-toed footwear is required for set work POSITION PURPOSE/ROLE: Supports the Theatre Arts Department productions and/or supervisor POSITION DUTIES: Under minimal supervision, supports the Theatre Department: Assists with Theatre setups and productions Assists with facilities plant maintenance and maintains a safe working environment Cleans, organizes and maintains theatre, shop and storage areas May perform other like duties MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Current FVCC student enrolled in a minimum of 6 credits per semester, and Ability to work with a minimal level of supervision and is self-motivated, and Possesses customer service skills, and Possesses light construction skills, and Ability to problem-solving and follow directions, and Possesses a cooperative spirit in working with peers, supervisors, students, and the public PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Theatre coursework; Experience in art or theatre set work STUDENT SKILL DEVELOPMENT: Communication skills, critical thinking, planning, collaboration, customer service, leadership PREDICTED OUTCOME: Practical competence, critical thinking, collaboration, communicating effectively, customer service, professionalism STUDENT EMPLOYMENT GUIDELINES: Students must be enrolled in a minimum of six (6) credits for fall or spring semester to qualify for student employment. Students may not work beyond 19 hours per week during semester. Student workers shall be actively engaged; no use of cell phones (except in case of emergency) or social media. Student workers shall demonstrate a commitment to the job with adherence to work schedule, effective communication/interpersonal skills, and quality customer service skills to be a representative of FVCC.
