ABOUT THE POSITION
Los Angeles Superior Court is seeking dynamic, well-qualified, and highly-motivated individuals to fill full-time (A-Status), part-time (C-Status), and hourly as needed (F-Status) Court Interpreter positions. Under supervision, Court Interpreters perform a wide variety of language interpretation activities on an assigned and as-needed basis for Los Angeles Superior Court and for persons doing business with the courts. Incumbents perform duties as an interpreter for courtroom and other legal proceedings, which may include, but are not limited to: arraignments, preliminary hearing, pre-trial conference and court trials.

ABOUT THE POSITION
Court Reporters are responsible for providing accurate verbatim reporting of proceedings in all required or requested court hearings, which include civil, criminal, juvenile, and grand jury. Reporters are responsible for providing real-time reporting services to judicial officers, preparing transcripts in accordance with applicable Government Codes, Rules of Court, and Statues, and providing read back upon request.

Part-time 3/5: $6,540.71 - $6,720.38 Monthly

As a member of the Pars Equality Center (Pars) Legal Team, the Staff Attorney will provide legal consultation and client representation, conduct community education, and engage in advocacy on community issues. Essential Duties & Responsibilities
· Provide legal consultation, case preparation, and full representation to low-income clients filing affirmative immigration applications, including family-based and humanitarian petitions, waivers, U Visas, VAWA, Asylum, Naturalization, Consular Processing, and Adjustments of Status.
· Plan and conduct workshops, clinics, outreach activities, and information sessions for immigrants and community partners. Some events may occur in the evenings or on weekends.
· Track and maintain compliance with all grant deliverables. Prepare required narrative and statistical reports for funders, ensuring accuracy and timely data entry.
· Comply with Pars's policies, procedures, and legal practice standards, including confidentiality, fee collection, maintenance of client files, and compliance with nonprofit immigration law protocols.
· Assess client eligibility for services and fees, execute service contracts, and coordinate with administrative staff to ensure timely filing and payment.
· Participate in community meetings and coalitions, represent Pars at local events, and collaborate with other organizations and government partners to enhance immigrant services.

Qualifications
· Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school.
· Active Bar membership in good standing (California preferred).
· Minimum of two (2) years of experience in immigration law.
· Demonstrated commitment to serving low-income immigrant populations.
· Excellent organizational, written, and oral communication skills.
· Strong public speaking ability in English; bilingual fluency (Spanish or Farsi) highly desirable.

When lives are on the line, Navy Aviation Rescue Swimmers (AIRRs) are exceptionally adept at answering the call. These brave men and women embody the courage of Americas Navy readily going into harms way to complete their rescue missions in some of the most extreme environments imaginable. As part of the most elite helicopter emergency response team in the world, youll be tasked with saving the lives of people caught in the waves. Living by the motto, So others may live, rescue swimmers put their skills to the test for others each time they leap into the sea.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Aviation Rescue Swimmers are tasked with entering treacherous conditions to assist with rescue missions, humanitarian assistance and operational support. One day you may be evacuating families on the other side of the globe amidst a catastrophic storm and the next day rescuing the crew of a ship off the Pacific coast or saving a mountain climber hanging from an inaccessible cliff.
Depending on your role, duties may include:
Coordinating with pilots as an Aircrewman aboard helicopters.
Saving the crew of downed aircraft, people aboard stranded or capsized vessels at sea, or hikers and mountain climbers in danger.
Rescuing civilians during natural disasters in collaboration with other forces such as the Coast Guard.
Delivering aid and supplies to other countries in humanitarian operations.
Providing support to Naval Special Warfare Operations.
Conducting surveillance in anti-submarine warfare and drug interdiction operations.
Operating radar, forward-looking infrared sensors, missile systems and door guns in anti-surface operations.
Transporting troops and cargo to and from ships.
In this role, you will specialize as a Naval Aircrewman Tactical (AWR).
WORK ENVIRONMENT
As an AWR, you will operate in almost every type of extreme environment and may be assigned to Helicopter Maritime Strike Squadron (HSM) sea or shore duty in any part of the world. You could be assigned to squadrons at Naval Air Stations and may deploy aboard aircraft carriers, surface combat ships, and support ships.
TRAINING AND ADVANCEMENT
Aviation Rescue Swimmers must be prepared to operate in any challenging environment. It's why two years of training in advanced swimming and lifesaving techniques, helicopter mission equipment and helicopter weapons systems are required before you report to your first squadron. Throughout training, candidates are continually tested mentally and physically as they advance to more rigorous and challenging scenarios.
Upon completion of initial training at Recruit Training Command Great Lakes (known as Boot Camp), those pursuing an Aircrewman role undergo the following training pipeline:
Aircrew Candidate School (4 weeks) in Pensacola, FL, to learn water and land survival skills and flight safety
Rescue Swimmer School (5 weeks) in Pensacola, FL, to learn search and rescue techniques
Class A Technical School (5 weeks for AWS/12 weeks for AWR) in Pensacola, FL, to study basic skills in Naval Aviation
SERE School (2 weeks) in North Island, CA, or Portsmouth, NH, to train in Survival, Evasion, Resistance, and Escape (SERE) techniques
Fleet Replacement Squadrons (6 months for AWS/10 months for AWR) for on-site aircraft systems training in North Island, CA , Jacksonville, FL or Norfolk, VA.
After graduation, an AIRR may be assigned to a helicopter command at sea or on shore duty in various locations throughout the U.S., including San Diego, CA; Norfolk, VA; Jacksonville, FL; China Lake, CA; Whidbey Island, WA; Key West, FL.; and many others.
EDUCATION OPPORTUNITIES
Members of the community have any number of unique opportunities to advance their knowledge. Navy training provides skills and knowledge in everything from military tactics and small arms use to survival and other tactical military procedures.
Beyond offering access to professional credentials and certifications, Navy training in this field can translate to credit hours toward a bachelors or associate degree through the American Council on Education.
You may also continue your education through undergraduate degree opportunities like the Navy College Program and Tuition Assistance and the Post-9/11 GI Bill.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
No college degree is required to become an AIRR, but a high degree of difficulty comes standard with nearly everything youll do. Training is tough and ongoing.
To qualify for Rescue Swimmer Training, both men and women must:
Meet specific eyesight requirements: uncorrected vision no worse than 20/100; correctable to 20/20 in both eyes with normal depth and color perception.
Meet the minimum Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) score: VE+AR+MK+MC=210 or VE+AR+MK+AS=210.
Pass a PST in DEP/Boot Camp.
Pass Class 1 Flight Physical.
Be 30 years of age or younger.
Be a U.S. citizen and eligible for security clearance.
You should be in excellent physical condition and a strong swimmer. Get the full details on AIRR training.

ABOUT THE POSITION
The Superior Court of Los Angeles County is seeking experienced Mental Health Clinicians to perform highly responsible professional duties in resolving high-conflict child custody disputes arising from divorce, legal separation, paternity actions, or domestic violence cases. Clinicians use two primary methods to assist parties-mediation, which leads to agreements that become court orders, and evaluation, which results in formal custody recommendations to the court. These emotionally charged cases require clinicians to operate within strict ethical boundaries while demonstrating a deep understanding of family law, court procedures, and mental health practices. The role demands strong skills in counseling, interviewing, evaluation, and referral, as well as the ability to navigate complex family dynamics with professionalism, empathy, and sound judgment.

Key Responsibilities:
* Child Custody Mediation - Conduct confidential mediations in cases of separation, parentage, divorce, and domestic violence to develop child custody/visitation agreements prioritizing the child's best interests.
* Child Custody Evaluations (Brief Parenting Plan Assessments) - Perform in-depth assessments, interviews, and home visits to evaluate family dynamics, recommend custody arrangements, and deliver findings through formal reports or court testimony.
* Child Interviews - Conduct sensitive, age-appropriate interviews with children to gather input relevant to custody decisions, sharing observations via written reports or testimony.
* Risk Assessment & Mandatory Reporting - Identify and assess risks such as domestic violence and child abuse; make mandated reports and referrals to appropriate agencies, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.
* Parent Education - Provide parents with information on child development, communication techniques and co-parenting strategies to support healthier family dynamics.
* Documentation - Maintain detailed case records, input data into court databases, and prepare formal evaluations and reports for judicial review..

SELECTION REQUIREMENTS
To qualify, you must meet ALL the following requirements at the time of application:
* A master's degree* from an accredited college, university, or program in social work, psychology, marriage, family and child counseling, or other behavioral science substantially related to marriage and family relationships
* Five (5) years of PAID, VERIFIABLE, FULL-TIME post-master's degree experience, within the last 7 years, in the field of family counseling or clinical assessment
* A current license from the California Board of Behavioral Sciences in marriage and family therapy, clinical social work, or clinical psychology

Note: Credit for experience is given based on a 40-hour workweek. Part-time experience is credited on a part-time ratio, i.e., working 20 hours per week for two months equals one month of experience. No additional credit is given for overtime.
