My career in mental health spans twenty seven years and hundreds of miles from Dallas, Texas to Thornton, Colorado. As a therapist, I specialized in working with high-risk children and families. Later launched Doucet and Associates, providing consultations for psychiatrists and other clinical staff, and acted as a liaison between school systems and other social agencies for clients. I served as Assistant Executive Director of Community Reach Center in Thornton, Colorado for a year and have been the Chief Executive Officer since 2001. I serve as the liaison for various state and community agencies, and I'm a contributing member of several Colorado committees addressing mental health and substance abuse issues, program development, and outcome measures. I have served as a Governor’s appointee to Colorado’s Medical Assistance and Services Advisory Council, Governor’s appointee to the Health Information Advisory Committee and appointed to the advisory council of the All Payer Claims Data Base, served for two years on Congressman Bob Beauprez’s and Congressman Ed Perlmutter’s Medical and Insurance Advisory Policy Committee , currently a member of Mental Health Corporation of America, and the National Council for Community Behavioral Healthcare. I was recently elected to the School Board for School District 27J.

In 2009, I was asked to fill the vacant Chief Financial Officer position by the then Chief Executive Officer at Columbia Wellness. My ability to translate numbers into operational strengths and weaknesses led to my promotion to Chief Operations Officer about two years later. Finally, in 2014 the Chief Executive Officer departed and I was named the Chief Executive Officer. Throughout my almost eleven-year career at Columbia Wellness I have remained passionate about providing excellent service to our patients and a first class working environment to our valued employees and partners. I am deeply involved in making Columbia Wellness a great place to work and grow by continuously listening to staff members and creating new ways to fulfill each employee's unique wants and needs. ACHIEVEMENTS •Directs key strategic plans and high-profile projects that capture gains in efficiency, productivity, and quality of services, safeguarding the organization’s reputation as a trusted partner to the community. In 2018 opened a $2.8 million dollar community based withdrawal management and crisis bed facility. •Currently spearheading a transition to an integrated healthcare model that will position therapists and doctors to address primary care, mental health, and substance abuse disorders. •Addressed configuration issues within the electronic billing system that had prevented the organization from billing Medicaid; closing this issue lead to the recovery of $850K in unpaid fees.
