Tanury CEO and leadership

As President and CEO of Tanury Industries, Michael is responsible for all business

operations. He joined Tanury in 1974, became president in 1989 and Chief Executive

Officer in 1995. During his time at Tanury, Michael has guided the company through

numerous innovations in electroplating PVD technology, as well as quality control

procedures and systems improvements.

In addition to his responsibilities at Tanury, Michael has served on the Board of

Directors of Manufacturing Jewelers and Suppliers of America, Save the Bay, and

Family Resources. He is a member of the Rhode Island Bar Association, American

Electroplaters and Surface Finishers Society, the Society of Vacuum Coaters, the

Twenty-Four Karat Club of New York, and currently serves on the Board of Directors of

the Jewelers Vigilance Committee.

Michael is also a certified ISO lead auditor. He has been a featured speaker on various

topics for the Rhode Island Bar Association, New England Business for Social

Responsibility, Brown University Venture Forum, Rhode Island Department of Economic

Development, Manufacturing Jewelers and Suppliers of America, Northern Rhode

Island Chamber of Commerce, and the American Electroplaters and Surface Finishers

Society.
