Must meet the following -
Early Childhood Associate's Degree
OR
Associate's Degree or 60 college credit hours AND 12 early childhood college credit hours or Completion of an early childhood training program
OR
High School diploma/GED AND Verification of Workkeys Scores AND 12 early childhood college credit hours or Completion of an early childhood training program
Demonstrate aptitude for work to be performed
Show a desire and willingness to work with children

Job Goal
To provide a program for pre-kindergarten children which is designed to promote development of cognitive, psychomotor, and affective skills of participating children.
Essential Functions
Works with students selected for participation in the pre-kindergarten project.
Assists school staff in scheduling selected students for project activities.
Follows a schedule of time periods with students each day as directed by supervising teacher.
Works with students in small and large groups.
Reinforces activities for a daily group from specific concepts designated and approved by teacher.
Assists with the personalized instructional sessions of pupils to meet needs indicated by the Basic Skills Checklists.
Implements planned activities for gross motor activities to be used to meet needs as designated by the Basic Skills Checklists.
Assumes non-instructional duties assigned by the principal before and after the class day as current hours per day will allow.
Performs other related duties as requested or assigned.
