Early Childhood Education teachers will work within the UW Oshkosh Head Start program, which is a federally funded, preschool program for low-income families. Each position works collaboratively to develop skills and practices to support school readiness for each child and to support our comprehensive services offered to each child and family. Classroom sizes are 15-16 children. School is in session September - May/early June, with additional August work hours for staff. Our program embraces the High/Scope curriculum, offers many professional development opportunities, and implements Pyramid Model and Conscious Discipline programs to support social/emotional development.
