General Responsibilities:
With program enrollment maximized in Energy Systems Technology the program has opened additional labs. This position will aid in lab safety, facilitation of student assistance and achievement of course outcomes. In addition, this position will participate in the development of additional educational trainers required to meet student needs in future quarters.
Essential Functions:
Lab Assistant
* Assisting students achieve success in the Lab setting, while ensuring appropriate, and safe operations of training equipment.
Lab Preventative Maintenance
* Inspecting and Maintaining lab training equipment to ensure operability, and safe conditions for students.
Lab Development
* Assembling and/or moving educational trainers, assisting in upgrades and ensuring enough trainers are available and operable for lab students, in addition to duties as assigned.
Lab Prep
* Preparing the educational lab environment prior to lab operations, including housekeeping, consumable accountability, and duties as assigned.
* Ability to recognize the value of cultural, ethnic, gender and other individual differences in people.

This part-time temporary position (up to 17-hours per week) is located at the Walla Walla Campus.
Work is performed almost exclusively in a classroom and lab environment. Hazard of electric shock, lock out tagout, and overhead hazards. Trade tools, machinery and equipment will be utilized. Daily interactions with students and instructors.

ProSidian Seeks a Readiness TechnicalSupport Specialist (Full-Time [W-2]) to support an engagement for the US Dept. of Energy (DOE) Hanford. This service supports with relevant Government, Public Sector and Infrastructure (Nuclear and Environmental) Sector experience (functional area experience also ideal) Sector Clients (For Present / Future Requirements) and ProSidian Team Members work as part of a Engagement Team Cadre (Labor Category ) to fulfill FFP - Firm Fixed Price (FFP) Task Order (TO) requirements for a provide Analytical support services on behalf of The Department of Energy (DOE), Hanford Office of Communications (HOC) as part of The General Support Services Contract (GSSC). The HOC Director will provide direction for this work. The successful Readiness TechnicalSupport Specialist will have responsibility for execution of the itemized work scope below:
• Oversight development and coordination in support of core requirement oversight strategies and presentation to the Line Management Review Board on the status of readiness for specific core requirements, as directed by the COD Director.
• Plan strategic activities required for ORP to achieve and verify readiness for radioactive operations.
• Mentor ORP staff and management in conduct of activities to achieve and verify readiness to safely conduct nuclear operations.
• Provide professional counsel on development and implementation of a readiness program from line management's perspective.
• Provide expert advice and counsel on improvements to ORP's readiness program.

• Brief management on technical issues and options for resolution and facilitate decision making.
• Provide project management skills to support WTP in analyzing the direct-feed low activity waste integrated schedule, readiness, effective risk management, cost and schedule assessment, procedural development, and organizational management, as directed by the COD Director.
• Consult with other organizations within the DOE Hanford Site to assist in identification and resolution of conflicts and recommend corrective actions to prevent delays and facilitate completion of work.
• Support establishment of oversight strategies and integrate with WTP, perform readiness and safety management program reviews, provide audit and surveillance support and documentation, investigate, provide recommendations to close outstanding information management system issues, and support streamlining of oversight tools and methods.
• Complete assessment report writing.

Qualifications
The Readiness TechnicalSupport Specialist shall have consecutive employment in a position with comparable responsibilities within the past five (5) years, Must be able to use a computer to communicate via email; and proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) and related tools and technology required for the position.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
The contractor shall ensure that GSSC personnel supporting this task possess the following qualifications:
Significantly demonstrating expertise with the execution of DOE O 425.1D, Verification of Readiness to Startup or Restart Nuclear Facilities, in the startup of complex and high risk nuclear facilities.
Performing key positions in the work to achieve readiness and verify readiness to safely operate complex high-risk nuclear facilities.
Executing experience with direct interface with senior management.
Expert knowledge of DOE orders, standards, policies, and procedures providing requirements and guidance for safe startup of nuclear facilities.
Knowledge of Hanford Site mission, activities, and priorities.
Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
Maintaining proficiencies in the following through periodic training:
- Hanford General Employee Training (better known as HGET).
- WTP site access.
Working level knowledge of environmental compliance, safety and health, quality assurance, and nuclear safety related controls and requirements.
Expertise level of knowledge of Hanford Site mission, activities, and priorities.
Expertise level of knowledge of DOE program and project management practices, policies, and procedures.
Knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint , and/or other Microsoft Office tools.

DELIVERABLES
Work products shall be thorough, accurate, appropriately documented, and comply with established criteria. The Contractor shall ensure that duties are performed in a competent and professional manner that meets milestones/delivery schedules as outlined below:
Weekly Report. This report will address work accomplished, and deliverable progress to be provided to the technical monitor.
Monthly Report. This report will be a combination of the weekly status reports and shall be submitted with the monthly invoice. The report shall also include:
Deliverable progress, and date(s) submitted if applicable, submitted within this invoice period.
Work schedule for Contractor employees, to include any leave taken.
TRAVEL
Travel as coordinated with the technical point of contact and approved in writing by the contracting officer in advance, is allowed, in accordance with federal travel regulations.
LOCATION
Work shall be conducted at the Department of Energy - Hanford, the Hanford Site, and Richland, WA. This position is telework-eligible with the expectation that approximately 50% of the charged time will be teleworking and 50% will be working at the Hanford Site or Richland, WA. Deviations will be at the discretion of the Technical Monitor in consultation with the Contracting Officer.
