PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
Performs advanced technical/engineering problem solving in support of plant operations. Coordinate with station engineering to develop and execute condition-based maintenance (CBM) programs. Possesses excellent knowledge in functional discipline and its practical application and has detailed knowledge of applicable industry codes and regulations. Technologies include, but are not limited to, generator testing, voltage regulator testing, motor testing, Doble testing, protective relay testing and calibration, as well as breaker maintenance.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
Perform predictive maintenance and calibration testing on major plant apparatus, writing reports, and maintaining the logs
Perform maintenance and calibration in support of plant operations
Provide technical support to plant operations, maintenance staff, and engineering in including technical procedure and specification reviews
Provides in-depth technical expertise to develop, manage and implement engineering activities and programs
Accountable for the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of work ensuring proper configuration management and assuring that standard design criteria, practices, procedures and codes are used in preparation of plans and specifications.
All other job assignments and/or duties pursuant to company policy or as directed by management to include but not limited to: (Emergency Response duties and/or coverage, Department duty coverage and/or call out, and positions outside of department in support of outage activities etc.)
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Associate's degree in engineering technology, electronics, or related field OR
High school diploma/GED with minimum of 18 months of trade or technical training in Power Plant Technology or related field
Demonstrated leadership skills to include attention to safety (personal and environmental schedules, equipment and its efficient use, and the use of employees to get the job done
Travel required up to 80%
Effective communication skills in all directions
Ability to work in a power plant environment that includes climbing, walking long distances, and standing for the majority of the time

Technical Responsibilities:
Primary responsibility of this position is to install, repair and maintain all IQ Fiber services through field operations as defined below:
* Technician must be competent in the use of optical test equipment, OTDR, PON Meter, Volt/Ohm meters, toners and other test equipment as prescribed for the testing of all services IQ Fiber provides.
* Technician must be competent in fiber splicing using a core alignment type splicing machine for drops and pig tails.
* Technician is required to repair underground drop pipes, re-pull underground fiber drops, and splice drops where necessary from the distribution vault to the premise NID
* Technician is responsible for installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of OSP distribution fiber from the Main OLT Hub (source) and FDH cabinets all the way through to the end user.
* Technician is responsible for installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of splitter cabinets, patch panels, NIDs and associated equipment.
* Technician must be competent in the placement of fiber inside the customer premise in units ranging from SFU to MDU high-rises.

JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for the repair and maintenance of multi-generational company-branded containers, ensuring they meet quality and safety standards
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform assembly-type functions using hand and/or power tools (without supervision)
Ensure Quality Standards are met
Moving materials using hand cart and/or pallet jack
Pressure washing
Assist with ensuring a safe and clean working environment, inside and out, for assigned facility
Maintain PODHUNTER, including accurate inventory and container classification
Able to complete forklift training and safely operate a forklift
Perform light welding tasks (roof discs, door tracks) and simple fabrication
Weld plastic (roofs/panels)
Perform simple cutting operations with oxy/fuel equipment
Adhere to all safety policies and perform all tasks in a safe manner including adherence to OSHA regulations
May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Education & Experience Requirements
High School diploma or equivalent

Ability to read and understand English is required for OSHA safety regulations

Position Summary:
The Fiber Splicer Technician must have strong fiber splicing, network, organization employee and customer service skills. Our Fiber Technician Splicers troubleshoot, splice, test and certify fiber optic rings and customer terminations. In this role you will spend 90% of your time in the field and on customer premise interfacing with current and prospective customers. Technical Responsibilities:
Primary responsibility of this position is to install, repair and maintain all IQ Fiber services through field operations as defined below:
Technician must be competent in the use of optical test equipment, OTDR, PON Meter, Volt/Ohm meters, toners and other test equipment as prescribed for the testing of all services IQ Fiber provides.
Technician must be competent in fiber splicing using a core alignment type splicing machine for drops and pig tails.
Technician is required to repair underground drop pipes, re-pull underground fiber drops, and splice drops where necessary from the distribution vault to the premise NID
Technician is responsible for installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of OSP distribution fiber from the Main OLT Hub (source) and FDH cabinets all the way through to the end user.
Technician is responsible for installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of splitter cabinets, patch panels, NIDs and associated equipment.
Technician must be competent in the placement of fiber inside the customer premise in units ranging from SFU to MDU high-rises.
